  1. Congratulations Karl, well done Gary
  2. Well said, Downunder and BBC. For me it would be Ken Anderson, he from the North East "Wit" Department and of course not forgetting Tim Hooper, the man who puts us all to shame with the quality and speed of his builds. And as an afterthought, how about Alex Whittaker just to find out if he's as mad as he seems Gary G
  3. Hi Paul I have enclosed the link to our club web-site. This has the location of the site and some information about us. No, you do not have to be a member to visit. the best time to meet up with the heli guys is generally between 10 and 4 on Saturdays/Sundays. If you want I could find out their contact number. Just PM me and I'll get as much info as I can for you. Regards, Gary
  4. Paul, I know this is off topic but why not come visit Hamilton Model Flying Club we have some excellent Heli flyers who are always willing to help out anyone. They keep trying to get me over to the dark side,but so far I have managed to avoid their advances lol
  5. I'm sure they said they were at Dunkeswell Airfield As regards background, the only one that I actually noticed was the chipmunk, but then again everyone probably noticed it too. 6. And thanks to all the others for the prompt responses. I think I shall be taking a run to the shop where I bought it and ask for a replacement anyway.
  7. Carperfect. Yes its the same part number. I haven't checked the output voltages yet. But, surprise surprise, I plugged it in tonight and its charging normally and the LED is lit. Go figure that one out?
  8. Has anyone else had probs with the Ripmax branded charger that comes with the 6EX? Mine will still charge the receiver battery pack but will not charge the transmitter. The transmitter was only purchased in December 2011, surely the charger should last longer than 9 months. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Why don't RCM&E do comparisons? e.g. Futaba v Spektrum, Trainer v Trainer, Sport model v Sport model, engine type v engine type, glo v electric, etc etc That would give newbies like myself a better idea of what type of equipment to go for, rather than relying on glossy adverts for inspiration.
  10. Would make a great number 2 aircraft for me!
  11. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); TonyS, That was my thought too tony.   I looked at the Iranian vid and somehow the aircraft seem pretty familiar but I just can't place where I've seen it before @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);Edited By GaryG on 29/01/2012 11:41:20
  12. I actually thought that there were no moving surfaces on the aircraft and the reporter has just reported that it is flapless, rather than having no moving control surfaces.@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  13. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); Flapless "Demon"   Thought this might be of some general interest Edited By GaryG on 29/01/2012 10:47:42

  16. Well I for one am not going to worry about it, cos I know that my plane can't read, therefore it doesn't know that it can't fly................................Ignorance is Bliss !!!@import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  17. I for one would so no, don't change the name.   I had lost interest in the sport for about 30 years and what got me interested in it again was a browse through the magazines in the newsagents and the first interesting one that caught my eye was RCME. A blast from the past name.This has rekindled an interest that has lain dormant for many years.   I have just finished my first ARTF and am in the process of joining my local club Hamilton MFC.   In fact I am hoping that today will be my Tutor 40's maiden.     @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
