I have had a rolling D.Debit Subsciption for a number of years now and totally agree, they want you to subscribe but, when they have got you they, sort of, forget you. Would be nice if, after Three, continual years, of Subscribing, you were automatically listed to get a freebie as a thank you for your regular support. I know it is just a 'Pipe Dream' but one can live in hope. Ron

Can-Doo - the new design from Nigel Hawes

Is this made mainly of Planking, like one of the Tony Nijhuis Vampires? Ron -
Interested as to how, with the suggested Cowl Construction, you would get the Engine out, in the case of a change, as the Bolts are very un-accessable. Ron

I received one like this also. Just ignored it, and deleted, safest option. R

Changed all my Connectors for Li-Po's to the XT60 ones, having bought some from HobbyKing. Looked up the Soldering Method on YouTube and had no problems. Would be nice if there was an industry standard but, Hell is likely to freeze over first! Why not make up some Adapters, using short lengths of Battery Cable from defunct Batteries. Cut each separately just in case! Not sure if they are not already available but it is worth a search. Ron

Do a search on eBay. Got mine for £7.50. Could always buy a pair of Fishermans Gloves, as suggested. I have a pair from Aldi. Not sure if they are still have stocks though! Fingerless Gloves are fine, just soak them in Fabsil to fuelproof them. Ron

Flaperons or Crow Braking?

If someone has done it then I will have a go myself. It cannot be much worse than the Futaba 6EXA! R -

Thanks for your input Pete. I should be OK but, if I may, I will call on you should I get into difficulty. Many thanks Ron -

Flaperons or Crow Braking?

Thanks to one and all, so far. The Glider I have is an early MPX Easy Glider so, if up is the better option, then so be it. If it works then I will give it a go also on my Greensleeve/Easy Pigeon too. Ron -
What is the General opinion, on an EP Glider, when you can have only one? Which is best, Flaperons or Crow Braking? Any, constructive, comment would be appreciated. Cheers Ron

Does your Club Mow its own grass or flying field
Ron Harrison replied to Baz Lewis's topic in Flying Field Reports and Chat
Ours was mowed by a member using our own Tractor with a Gang-mower attachment. All went fine until some delightful group of individuals decided they wanted it so, it disappeared overnight. We now use a local emporium and it doesn't cost a lot. R -
Two little kids are in a hospital, lying on trolleys next to each other outside the operating room, the first surgeries of the day. The first kid leans over and asks, "What are you in here for?" The second kid says, "I'm getting my tonsils out, and I'm afraid." The first kid says, "You've got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give you lots of Jelly and ice cream. It's a breeze." The second kid then asks, "What are you here for?" The first kid says, "Circumcision." "Whoa!" the second kid replies, "Good luck, buddy. I had that done when I was born. Couldn't walk for a year."

Seems to be a vicious circle. The problem is whilst it is nice to visit your LMS, with the cost of fuel versus P&P to factor in, should you not have lots of disposable cash, then it is a bit of a no brainer. I try to make a list of items needed to complete a future project and kill two birds with one visit to the Traders at the shows. Not always possible but there you are. A phone call to the emporia you intend visiting can save a somewhat wasted journey but, you have to accept that there is going to be the occasion that you cannot get all the items you want. Not much help in the debate I know but............. Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 17/02/2013 10:52:22

Patronising Dipstick who knows nothing about the real world and, has no common sense whatsoever. He gets money under false pretences, like so many of his 'colleagues' on the BBC. Whoever employed him must be a good mate as I, and a lot of people I know, wouldn't pay him out in washers. Even being the Question Master on Eggheads is too taxing for the poor lamb. He is also extremely rude to boot! Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 15/02/2013 21:33:20

Ron Harrison replied to Scruffmeister's topic in Sport, Aerobatic and 3D kits
No problem with the Elevator Push Rod but, replaced the Control Horns, on the Rudder, with Standard ones on each side and bolted through. Ron -
