  4.  This is getting out of hand!! How about the galloping ghost (well shake my bum) now we are realy showing our age.Nice to look back on though. My first attempt at rc was a home brewed rx. All the parts pinched from the radar dump, using an acorn valve. Used in an old free flight model,if the rudder flapped once or twice it was magic
  5.  Hi Shaun. I dont know how old you are,but take a bit of sound advise froman 80 yr old (young) still active flyer & get some help if you can,but if not, press on mate,a lot of us had to learn the hard way. Just make sure that engine is secure to a test bench,& keep well away from that prop. But above all dont give up at the first hurdle, there will be many more to come, but the satisfaction at the end makes it all worth while                                        Best of luck
  6. Hi fellow nuts                         Just bought a JR RS70 rx I can,t get over the fact that you don,t need a xtal,                         been trying to find the basics on how this system works, but so far,no luck.                        As for 2.4, i have too many 35 meg stuff to warrent changing to that,& i would like to see how the                        dust settles  first.Been flying since 1946,in the day,s of air cored coils & behive trimmers,(how things have                        changed)                                      Happy & safe flying to all.      Merton
  7. HI Adam             You can shrink this material as normal but with a lot more heat.          I suggest you make up a test frame & play with it,it is as good as nylon without the hassle, buy 1/2mtr & try it for yourself,.     It needs about  three coats of clear dope ( thin )after shrinkage.    I use a heat gun myself to shrink up    Use thick dope or equivalent for attatching    Apply to frame or edge of pannel  & rubb with finger to saturate  contact with cloth    Do not over sretch the pannel .    I am sure you will be delighted with the result.                      Merton
