  1. Hi all. This is the aircraft that was the Gate Gaurd at R.A.F. Scampton in the eighties. BOB.
  2. Hi Rusty. Did you do a leak check on the tank before you fitted it? Put the three pipes on the tank, blank two of them off, blow through the other one with the tank in a bowl of water and see if there are any bubbles coming from the tank, just the same as you would do for checking for a puncture in a bicycle tyre tube. BOB.
  3. Hi Martyn. You may be heading for trouble if you use those initials, it could be mixed up with the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Aurthority, [UKCAA]. BOB.
  4. ALAN. There is no difference in being a Country Member or joining through your own Club. The only difference is that if you join through a club, your insurance states the club's name on it, and if you join yourself, it will say Country Member on it. It is only an insurance certificate,it is nothing to do with the club, only that they require you to be insured to fly. I am a Country Member, as when I joined the BMFA, I was working in England and joined through a club when working there, it stated the club name it, now I live in Scotland I still pay my insurance, but do it myself by phone to the BMFA, and it states Country Member. All I do is show my certificate to the treasurer and that is it. BOB.
  5. Hello Ken. I took the photo of the Varsity. It was the aircraft that was based at Duxford, WJ945 G-BEDV. I cannot remember the exact date, but it must have been late 70's or early to mid 80's. BOB.
  6. DF. The White Horse at Westbury. Quite a lot go there. There is the Warminster Club at Keevil Airfield who may be able to tell you where to go, I know there are some more slopes in that area. You must make contact with the Club first as it is restricted entry. Go to their web site for contact numbers, I am sure they will be able to help you, I use to be a member of the Club. BOB.
  7. Tim. Which version of the Arrow Active? or what about a Sparton Arrow? or DH 83 Fox Moth? BOB.
