  1. Hi Tom, Just want to let you know Chris Marx did come and see me about his gyro. We fixed up a couple of settings, moved landing gear and battery and of we went to the flying field. Had a very successfull maiden. Got a email from Chris yesterday saying that he had acouple of flights now and getting better. Regards, Martin
  2. I started to fly in the arf era, my slowest plane is a Giant U Can Do 3D. Flying this Retro is a new experiance for me. Martin
  3. Hi all, Received my Retro Junior Yesterday and maiden today. It took of perfect in a gusty wind. I did not get a good response from the ailerons but the rudder worked well. I am use to flying my planes in for landing and battled to land this one. I then just closed throttle dropped the nose and the Junior landed it self. This plane is a real slow flyer and is going to take a couple of flights to get use to. Can't wait for tomorro to take it up again Regards, Martin South Africa.
  4. Ok, first problem is Chris made the head from aluminum plate, so there is no flex . I will get his address and send him a flex head if he hasn't find something by tomorrow. Chris is about 100 kilos from where I stay, Martin.
  5. Spoken to Chris Marx today. Will meet with him on a weekend and I am sure his CraneFly will be airborn in ajiffy: Martin
  6. Hi Tom, Yes still watching here from the sideline. These guys are speeking my language. Nobody is posting on our local website either , so I am still on my own mission. I will keep an eye on the forums and see if they popup somewhere. Regards and keepup the good work. Martin
  7. Hallo, Ek hoor julle praat Afrikaans, but I will write in English. Been there , your run off seems to be to long for the blades to pick up speed. In no wind conditions I just walk to get my blades to spin up. Mabe your shims for negative pitch is not enough. Where are you from - maybe I can help. l am from Springs Gauteng and had many success flights with my Crane Fly. Martin
  8. Tom, You to must have a very good and happy new year and keep up the auto gyro spirit. Regards, Martin
  9. Sorry to hear about your loss Rich, I thought that only happens in South Africa. What is our world comming to? Regards, Martin.
  10. Hi Tom, Yes ,I had four kits cut which was given away for free to try and get more intrest in autogyros. The kits were supplied with HK heads and blades. I am stil waiting for feedback from these guys. l am the only one at this stage with a flying "Mozzie". The idea is to supply a complete gyro with motor, esc, blades and all the other bits at cost but with the Auto-G and the bad Dollar/Rand it becomes impossible to do such a project. Regards, Martin
