Tape the plan to a window face out, then redraw on the back of the sheet over the image you see in reverse. -

Lipo Short
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services replied to Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services's topic in Batteries and Chargers
Phew - Initial check shows 3.7 across all cells Just goes to show, after doing this on hundreds, literally, you can't get complacent with lipos, it also shows, even if you think you know everything there is to know, you can doubt yourself sometimes and always best to check lol -
Upon receipt of a new batch of 3s 2200 lipos, I was in the process of changing the supplied connectors over to suit my models. On the 5th battery I went to cut the wire and had a very brief short, nothing major, on inspection, the short was due to the black wires heat shrink that had been applied wasn't a very good fit and the cutters had just come into contact with the metalwork underneath as I cut the red wire. Now like I say it was brief and only a slight spark, the battery was taken outside and left a while, on return the battery is slightly warm to the touch but no swelling. Am I safe to carry on and change the connector, thats if the battery is still in a usable state. Seems stupid, but this is the first time in 4 years this has happened to me lol

If your partner was an aeroplane 2
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services replied to bouncebounce crunch's topic in Scale Matters
Mine would be a miltary jet, always creeping up and frightening the life out of you when you least expect it -
This year less than last, only done 3 x Greenacres, Cosford, Weston, missed Elvington so I could do Greenacres, Nats this weekend and Gaydon in October, I don't go for shopping, although I do always spend too much lol, I don't sit on the flight line either, I just enjoy the atmosphere, the people and the evening activities, plus Greenacres have one hell of a burger bar

Thanks for the well wishes guys, means a lot Gonzo, as of yet a date hasn't been put in place as there is so much to sort out, but when it does there will be a dedicated website and facebook page for Airsail UK, plus chances are I will be posting on here as time goes by so you're not going miss anything
-
Just so people know what we are doing, we are sorting and selling new old stock kits first, then they will all be undergoing an overhaul to bring them up to date with laser cut parts, electric conversion kits etc for those who want to go that way as well as revamping several other parts of the kits.
-
It is official, I am now the new owner of Airsail Kits, models include the Chipmunk UK and Canadian, Beaver, Auster A09 small and 1/4 scale, Heron Gas Buggy, Voltimer, Volksplane, Piper Tomahawk II and some others we are yet to uncover, the container arrived a couple of weeks ago from New Zealand and we are busy unpacking everything, so several months to go before kits are available, but if you have and queries or enquiries, please feel free to contact me.

Wren Engines go into Liquidation
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services replied to Andy Green's topic in Jets and Turbines
Yes you have made your point PV, and no one is questioning it, and I would expect anybody who is directly affected by it will have clarity one way or another before long, but not necassarily in public., -

That wasn't a dig at your comment or you Rich, or anyone else for that matter, I was also talking generally, a company finds themselves in the unfortunate position of making a huge decision (if it wasn't made for them) to close and people start talking about details they know nothing about, if administrators are involved, then everybody who is directly affected by this will be approached whether it is debtors or creditors, I hope for the people who have placed orders and paid get what they want, be it the goods or refunds. The new operators of the business will only be responsible for any of the aftermath if they have bought the company along with the debt, which is what usually happens when companies get exchanged for £1. All I want to say is, give the new guys a chance, they obviously want to give the brand a second chance. -
Wren Engines go into Liquidation
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services replied to Andy Green's topic in Jets and Turbines
Mud sticks only if it is thrown! Seems to me that no one wants to give what may possibly be some new potential owners a chance, these guys may be putting a rescue package together to save Wren, they may be former employees looking at a buy out, or even it might be a pheonix company with the same captains at the controls, nobody knows, because there is no information out there yet! so guys, please don't tarnish the reputation of something that hasn't even been given a chance to get off the ground yet. -

I am actually studying the plans for the Bryant plan as we speak, although it is 1/4 scale at some 80", it may get scaled up to 1/3 -

It is worth remembering that if a plan is available, then parts can be made available one way or another
