Got it I'm obsessed with redundancy so favour two servos - probably not necessary, hey ho -

What’s the verdict ? Are you using twin rudder servos? Edited By Rich too on 03/10/2019 19:51:29 -

Mmm, for that sort of money and convenience I think I prefer the X24 option that I went for ..... -

They look a good option Gary. -
Mmmm, another option is to replicate them. Shouldn't be too difficult to build another set?

Yes, definitely take your time, it is not a job to rush!

It will probably be fine Adrian, but you might want to check that the servos are not fighting each other with an amp meter. Plenty of tutorials on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sscEYl_b5bk Thats why I opted for the electronic method... Edited By Rich too on 02/10/2019 18:59:18 -
That’s not good news and no guarantee. if it were me I would repair that. It looks like a fairly clean break both side. I would find a snug fitting length of c/f tubing and glue it in one side first. Glue that side to the fuselage, and when set glue the other side. Something like that would be fine I would have thought. You could also use wires to further strengthen but probably not necessary - top and bottom of fuselage.

Cymaz, did you get it fixed? Great news that it performs well perhaps, a good case for twin batteries? I am still waiting for news from Probuild on an out of stock prop since 30 July shocking service sadly. Edited By Rich too on 02/10/2019 11:40:38

Nice progress Adrian. I used the drill method for cutting cowls and always hated the job. All my cowl cutting is done by a Dremel these days - best tool I ever bought, and the cordless version even more versatile you need to get yourself one **LINK** -

Yep and we felt the full force of it all night and I don’t like camping at the best of times Edited By Rich too on 29/09/2019 11:41:52 -

Posted by bert baker on 29/09/2019 11:06:35: Put a bit of soft wire or solder through the tank and slide the bits into position on the wire how do you hold them to tighten? And presumably the washers go on the inside? apologies for all the questions -

Posted by cymaz on 26/09/2019 22:51:15: Put the wings on to test out the new pair of wing bolts....worked a treat and it all lines up! The wing is much more solid with the extra bolts. The new extension leads for the twin elevator servo have arrived. They’ve been installed and the throws set as per manual. All to do now is run up the engine, set the needles ( if needed) and refit the cowl. There is a little matter of flying it for the first time.....the weather has different plans. * Note to self.......mustn’t forget to set the failsafe Edited By cymaz on 26/09/2019 22:52:14 Excellent just need some decent weather. Good luck with the maiden. With a bit of luck I should be ready soon with the Glens Sukhoi...

Well done and don’t worry about it, I’m super clumsy and almost every job I do something happens remember the rudder on my Sbach? i look at it like a christening or sacrificial something or other, so the rest of the build and flying will be blessed -

I can only just manage with my glasses on... Get a set of cheap magnifying reading glasses. I find them make a huge difference for close up work I’ll look into that
