Welcome to the forum, i hope you learn from the knowlegable on here,  and i hope you take what we say with the knowledge we know what we are doing You cant fly, you need to learn, this jet, you DONT need, this is a serious hobby, go along to your local club, see what its all about, clubs carry sufficient insurance, and a lot have club trainers you can have a go on, there are also great computer model flying sims, that you can use a model transmitter on, and fly like you are at the flying field, your first toy plane gave you an idea what can be captured from model flying, dont waste money on something else that you will break----very quickly Edited By Alan Cantwell on 25/09/2012 22:07:31

  8. any problems, let me know, pretty thing isnt it? fully sports type aerobatic vintage style model, years ago, i fancied building a juinor 60, making the wing flat, fitting ailerons, beefing up the structure, and entering the club aerobatic comp, a piped webra 61 was going to be used, i think the term hung drawn and quartered came to mind
  9. there are 5 cos the last 2 are made into 1, this is to clear the radiators, lovely machine, just wait till YT bring theirs out, gave them the blooming drawings months ago, i hope it gets done,
  10. 2.4 only at woodford, i still use my 35 in my kwickfly, but as soon as the engine is replaced, that 40 year old beuty will be on 2.4, i fly all my 35 in kipper gliders, the more expensive scale ones are on 2.4, 4years ago, when we where running the indoor flying in the hangar at the nats, the 35mhz pegbaord was not even used, majority of the sets wehre spectrum even then, i got cuaght out, as did many others, by having too many 35mhz recievers, took a hiding on selling them, sat round the camp fire at the nats, with the bromley clan (nats organiser) he said, 2.4 was coming, wish i had taken notice, that was quite a few years ago!!!

  13. Ben, are you looking at the wing tongue with the undercambered thing? it looks symetrical to me, i can imagine trying to patch that covering up if it gets damaged!!!!
  14. forecast is best for saturday, wind straight down the pad, no rain, sunday it will be a cross wind, bit showery midday, but flyable, its time this comp was run!!!!

  17. I do the auctioneering for our club, if i start high, i get no bids, i started an item once one of mine,at 10p, had lots of arms go up, and inside a minute, knocked it down for over 50quid, start low, let them fight over it, if its worth it, it will bring its price

  19. beutifull day, aeroplane, and the house as well, 10 out of 10, reminds me of when i was going flying up my local hill, a sea fury appeared overhead, did a few circuits and did few dives into the vally below, did a roll on the climb out, she was waiting to be called up for the barton airshow display, what a great 15 minutets, apart from the nit who was stood with me, arnt those spitfires great indeed!!! sadly, shortly after this display, she was lost with an undercart failure, the pilot safely performing the last over the side bail out of a service aircraft
  20. trouble is, the arc carousel is a plastic blow molded fuzz, might be a tad more difficult
