Whizzza Nigel Hawes free plan canopy
Vortex Vacforms replied to Stuart Marsden's topic in General Electric Flight Chat
Posted by Stuart Marsden on 19/04/2017 21:22:53: Hi thanks for this, I will look over your website and see if I need anything else at the same time. Best regards Stuart Hi Stuart, You're welcome - and don't just rely on our website for parts either as we also have vac-forms which (for a variety of reasons) aren't shown. Consequently, it's always worth sending an email enquiry as we might still have a retired plug or near alternative to suit your application. Also, many of Nigel's sport designs have black canopies as standard, but can be supplied in clear (with pilots) if you wish - therefore, just ask whenever you're thinking of placing an order. Whizzza Nigel Hawes free plan canopy
Vortex Vacforms replied to Stuart Marsden's topic in General Electric Flight Chat
Posted by Stuart Marsden on 17/04/2017 18:36:07: Just looked through an old 2006 or 7 RCME at Nigel Hawes Whizza. I have tried the telephone Vortex 01162 207080 for a conopy. Does anyone know if Vortex has gone and has anyone a canopy for this free plan? I have had a few years out but have been back for year or so, but like the look of this one. Has anyone built one? Cheers SM Hi Stuart, I can confirm that we certainly have not gone, but are no longer at the location we were 10 years ago. Whilst the address and phone number are different (and provided below), our email address remains the same. I don't recall seeing a message, did you send one or only try the phone number? As for the canopy for Nigel's Whizzza, we still produce the part in question and will be more than happy to supply you with one for your model. Many thanks to everyone who helped Stuart with his query and relayed our current contact details. Kind regards, Steve Davis - Vortex Vacforms Vortex Vacforms 40, Thorndale, Ibstock, Leicestershire. Posted by Wasaforumite on 22/11/2016 17:08:57: Hi My winter's build will be a Super Kaos for electric power. I'll post some pictures if anyone's interested. I've already got some foam wings from Elation Models (thanks Steve - they are super). However, I don't want to spend hours making a bubble canopy. does anyone have a source of these? When i was building my Tweedy Bird i just couldn't find one that was likely to fit. Thanks Hi Wfm, Good luck with your build and your workshop - You're always welcome to call with your requirements as we have some unidentified canopies (and cowls, etc) that aren't listed on either the website or our Facebook page. For reference, we can still supply the canopy and cowl that Peter specified for his version of Rod Jocelyn's Culver Dart, should anyone be interested in a new build or to repair an existing model. However, as we have relocated since the plan first appeared in RCM&E, our current contact details are provided below. Certainly a fine looking model Mike Bell, and congratulations on having the plan for your Hangar Monkey published in the October 2016 edition of RCM&E Also, I'd like to thank you for giving Vortex Vacforms a name-check in the accompanying article for the benefit of anyone wishing to fit a commercially available canopy as an alternative to trying to form one for themselves. I believe there are only two questions you need to ask yourself: 1) What would the other half do if she were looking at shoes? 2) Where can I hide it? Easy! Precedent T180
Vortex Vacforms replied to Alison Brown 1's topic in Vintage Kits, Semi-Kits and Plan Projects
You might like to try Slec themselves. I believe they still produce the T-240, so it can't hurt to ask whether they still have the literature you require for your T-180.
