  2. Dont worry Percy Ive been told summer is on a saturday this year so we will be ok lol Johnny
  3. Hi Robert that would be one hell of a data base......and thats just for the questions that I have asked in the past!! lol. Just taking your example above thats alot of typing for just one answer.... As Chris says above there is nothing wrong with the current system and in many cases there is no black and white answer to the question beind asked. I personally find its best to pick the brains of the guys on here (and other forums) ..read the answers and then make my own mind up from there. If you fancy having a go at the data base I wish you well my friend.....good luck. Johnny
  4. Hi Lakey Ive got a Pawnee too all built up and ready to maiden as soon as the weather gets better. I like the use of the golf trolly....who wants to play golf when they can go flying?? lol. Looks like you have a really good flying site also, where abouts is it?? Regards Johnny
  5. nescafe37 I would personally recommend you join a club where the club instructor can check your model and transmitter settings. He will be able to explain expo, dual rates etc to you and how such settings will effect your model. Like everything in life the tranny settings are easy.......when you know how!! Good luck, onwards and upwards Johnny
  6. Ok Shaun firstly the binding procedure has got nothing to do with the operation of the control surfaces. This problem you have sounds like you have the servo wires in the wrong sockets on your rx. Double check your connections are in the correct position .....or swap them around until they are configured as you would like them. Johnny
  7. Koen.....very nice piece of kit. After looking at your photos im going to have a go myself. Many thanks Johnny
  8. Hi Shaun, welcome to the forum and the hobby You have the right approach to learning to fly by joining a club and taking instruction. The Tutor 40 is a great trainer that im sure you will enjoy. Onwards and upwards....... Johnny
  9. Charles assuming you have bound the rx with the tx correctly......always remember to switch your tx on first then your rx after a couple of seconds your tranny will "log on" and you will get a solid green light. As Ben said move your sticks and the surfaces will move proving all is well. Johnny
  10. Hi Mark, I fly both the wot4 and the PC9.......just be aware you wont be able to fly the PC9 as slow as the wot4 because the PC9 will tip stall at slow speeds and bite you. Also if you dead stick with the PC9 you have generaly a maximum of 3 safe turns before you land (and when you do turn turn smoothly keeping the wing as level as possible ......dont bank and crank) otherwise when its under power its a great model to fly, and pretty good in wind too Johnny
  11. I have several off cuts of kitchen worktops to make building boards if anyone wants them. They are nice and flat and make really good building boards when covered with plaster board. You can have them FOC if you can collect from me (Hednesford, Midlands). Johnny
  12. Sorry to hear about that Dave nothing worse than mechanical failure.......you can live with pilot error. As you say the meter is a good bit of kit to have in your toolbox and will pay for itself because you wont be burning out ecs's and motors etc Onwards and upwards....... Johnny
  13. This photo is of me and my sister in the back garden in the early 70's with my first trainer (JK 1 on the right). My first radio with this plane was a Micron kit built job from nottingham if i remember correctly. The plane on the left was my dads trainer with a futaba M Series radio. A few years have now past and this photo was taken flying on Cannock Chase Staffordshire in Late 70's Johnny
