  1. She will float forever Tom (the aircraft not your wife) so take a deckchair when you fly. Should be able to see it at 10000 feet with that lovely colour scheme
  2. Shes going to look great with those on Paul. You should be able to get the World service news through those
  3. Opposite for me. I ordered some clevises and pushrods three weeks ago and still have not got them. I rang last week and they said they were waiting for them to come in stock but did not bother letting me know that was the situation until I contacted them. Poor service in my opinion. Leeds model shop is 100 times better for fast service and I believe they have control of their stock so they tell you before you order if its not in stock. Will not be ordering any more stuff from Gliders.
  4. gillyg1, I used 9g minis. as long as your throttle pushrod is not binding it will be fine.
  5. Engine install for anyone who is interested. Thanks for the kind remarks
  6. Gents, Here is one I made earlier . No lekky motors for me just good old Sc 52 fourstrokes.
  7. Many thanks to everyone who replied, there are some great ideas there. I forgot about the wonder of magnets and just how powerful the very small ones are these days. Will go and have a play with all the ideas now. Cheers
  8. Hi Everyone, I have a Tony Nijhuis Spitfire 72 and would like to fit a Radio mast/aerial to it but want it to be 'knock off able' in case I tip the airframe on its back or hit it with my arm etc when rigging it. I have seen a few ideas in the past with springs as the base or screwing it into a blind nut or even using an pencil eraser. Has anyone used or seen a great idea used that protects the airframe should it get knocked off please Cheers Ian
  9. With an electric motor that would be no problem Tom. I think the reason for the bulbous sides at the front was to maybe hide the cylinder head of the engine more than anything else. It would look sleeker if you narrowed it down a bit. It will be interesting to see it like that. I now live in the North of the UK and we don't get the sort of light winds here for a Sunduster unfortunately.
  10. I have built and flown a couple of these in the early eighties Tom and can fully recommend it. I once caught a thermal and ended up in the air for about an hour and a half, It floats on and on. Not sure how the weight of lipo will affect it. Looks great with translucent film covering as well and is a dead simple build. Enjoy. Ian
  11. Take a look at the paint that Kings Lynn models Stevo. They have some pretty good luftwaffe colours.
  12. Lovely job so far Steve. What are you going to do about the engine cowling and canopy? Is there some where you can source them or are you going to make your own? Cheers Ian
  13. Says on the label Caution laces of liquorice may fly out of this plug thing and poke you in the eye.
  14. Can I be the first to say that that is a beautiful job you have done there Mike. Lovely looking airplane Ian
  15. Posted by Dwain Dibley. on 13/06/2017 19:02:06: Check out page 36 for Richards Definitive method, Paul and I both had our own Variant ways, mine being the furthest away. Cheers DD. Somehow I missed a whole page out?? It is a bit clearerer now
  16. I have a question please guys. How did you work out where to cut the abs nachelles? Was it a case of a bit at a time or was it more scientific than that? Keep the build coming it is very interesting. Ian
  17. Cheers for this info Ken, I need some of this for a elevator wire horn. Ian
  18. I don't care if he is a witch a warlock, doctor who or coco the clown, all I know is I want one!
  19. I've every intention of making one Andy , and in fact have already made all of the moulds for a 102 " prototype . Whenever I mention it to people it falls on deaf ears , so it looks like it will be a one off so far . Put my name down for one please Richard, I have always wanted a B17 and I have four SC52 fourstrokes. Cheers
  20. I would like to put my name down for a kit if you make any more please Richard. We will need a few more people to make it viable so if there is anyone else lurking like I was who would like a kit stick yer hand up. Cheers Ian
