  1. I have one as well and it is excellent for printing decals for warbirds. I normally just look for the decal online then copy the image and resize it to the size I require before cutting. If you need a complex decal you can use several layers. I have made stars and bars and soviet stars as well as squadron codes and really small hatch signs. What I love most about it is the ease of setting it all up. Having said that, I have sold most of my aircraft now and will be selling it if anyone is interested in purchasing it.
  2. Chris I have a set of retracts taken out of my Seagull Mosquito that I may be persuaded to part with. Pm me
  3. Tony, I know this may be a stupid answer but there is not a protective plastic sheet attached to the canopy is there?
  4. Cheers Tony. I hope the motor is marked so I can tell when I get it out.
  5. Posted by Tony Nijhuis on 26/02/2019 23:13:28: Ian...so looking back through the postings you say you have the FMS 50mm from Banggood?... and assume it 3S version not the 4S? ........on the assumption you have some cheat holes in the sides you have 600g of thrust at your disposal!!! thats one to one trust to weight ratio which rocket stuff!!!......if you can only get it to power glide without the lid off, then there is something wrong with your Fan/ lipos or ESC setup.....the Hunter is 5oz heavier than the Mig and goes like a rocket (as did the MiG)! I will do a video of MiG at some point if only to silence the critics! Ahh, I will have to dig the fan out because it never occurred to me that it may be a 4s version which may be why I am getting no joy. It has loads of power with the lid off. I have tried a cheat hole in the bottom of the fuz and enlarged ducts in the side with poor results so maybe this is the answer. Thanks for the reply Tony.
  6. Congratulations Tony, She flies with a good turn of speed and looks really smooth in the air. Can you do a video of the mig 15 as well please because I cannot get mine to fly unless I leave the top lid off and I want to see where I have gone wrong. Thanks Ian
  7. Posted by Fun Flyer on 17/02/2019 19:50:43: The only thing we're missing now is the plan. And a video of it flying so we can see what the flying characteristics are like.
  8. Thanks Percy will look in to the Mosquito retracts. Thanks for the pointer on Aeroplane monthly J D 8. I definitely want retracting undercarriage so may attempt making my own set. I have found a decent article on RCU where a guy makes a set. Cheers
  9. I am just embarking on building this model and think the undercarriage is the only thing I may have a challenge to build. Alan Gorham, I have just messaged you to see if I can see the photo's you have from Mr Hardy please. Ian
  10. The Topflite P47 Thunderbolt is a nice and easy kit to build with a great instruction book included and it looks good and fly's nicely as well. It might be tricky to get one but it's worth it.
  11. Good luck Jack. Keep us posted and if possible get someone to film it in flight.
  12. The photo's look great Tony and they are great that they are taken by the editor but I wouldn't mind a video of them flying so I can see how well they fly to give myself and others inspiration to persevere with ours. Thanks
  13. I have one and can say that it is a quality kit which takes no time at all to assemble. It flies like a dream, is really stable and looks fantastic in the air and sounds great as well. I fly off of a grass strip and the sprung undercarriage handles the lumps and bumps with no problems. It is the most expensive model I have ever purchased but it honestly puts a smile on my face every time I fly it.
