  1. Where abouts in the sky was it ? Venus is visible to the naked eye at the moment and it does reflect sunlight quite nicely sometimes.
  2. Its already been said but I feel so sorry for you chaps. Lets hope something can be done for the weekend although somehow I doubt it.
  3. It's refreshing to see a new design/build blog CS. I hope you can find the time to keep us up to date.
  4. I miss Jeff ! What exactly has happened to him ?
  5. Its on Citv (Childrens channel lol)
  6. Is it just me or is the presentation delivery by Sky's Dermott Murnaghan grating on everyones nerves ? " The aircraft SLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMEDDDDDDDDDD into the mountain " Still I suppose after 20 years on Sky news he will never change. This subject matter is bad enough and doesn't warrant his style of reading a bulletin.
  7. I got rid of a Honda Insight due to the 7 grand replacement battery cost !
  8. Oddly enuf, i was going to open a thread with a very similar title. The Amazing Spiderman 2 - Thats what i'm watching. I cant believe the rubbish that is served up on a saturday night. truly awful. I, like most others here can't stand ant and flippin' dec and as for Scofield - Well, read about that in the "have a rant" thread.
  9. Still not enough to go on there onetenor, did it come in a box ? if so whats on the box ? I think maybe only a pic or 2 will help here. Alan.
  10. It may be that the main drive gear is slipping on the drive shaft. is it a coaxial jobby or just a single rotor ?
  11. Thats the one that i was going to suggest. I have successfully had 2 issue's from them.
  12. Thou shalt not swear or blaspheme within these forums and one should respectith the mods wishes at all times.
  13. Posted by GrahamC on 08/02/2015 14:47:59: From the heading of the thread.... Logged on to say that it's hard to beat a v911... But then saw you were struggling with it. If it's right it will jump to to left a little when it takes off, and you will need to get it up out of ground effect. To try and fly it 6 inches off the floor is a mistake. I wonder if you know anyone who could try it for you to check its ok. It is possible that there is a problem with yours of course. If you look at the landing gear there are 2 little mouldings on the bottom left of the skids to try to compensate the ground effect.
  14. This is the most fun you can have in a small room without taking your clothes off.. For 19 quid ya can't whack it. Another WL Toys miracle. Alan. Keeping ya clothes on dept.   Edited By FastFlyer Smyth on 08/02/2015 15:42:17
  15. Just a reminder - Part 2 tonight.
  16. I've got a little baby v911 and I love it. There is a tweak to make the controls less sensitive and make it a bit easier. It involves moving the armatures on the servo arm to the inner most hole. There are a number of mods to tame this little baby, You've also been spoiled by the Syma's incredible stability and a bit more perseverance with the 911 should eventually pay off. In the mean time the v912 is already on my this years christmas list.   Alan Edited By FastFlyer Smyth on 08/02/2015 14:35:39
  17. Very observant of you Simon, Yes it looks like some kind of tail feather failure/parts missing prior to any kind of impact. When I looked back at your first picture the tailplane looks in proportion but on closer inspection it does indeed look like there's something missing, but maybe it did clip one of the buildings. 18. yes, I agree. Totally brilliant. We have another icon here in Guy Martin. Just watched the recording.
  19. For what it's worth I moderated on a fairly popular website a few years back. I lasted about 3 months. I didn't really enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It was a site very different to this in context and I can concur that a mod's life isnt always as easy as some may think. If we had people kicking off or saying/typing things that they know they really should'nt be doing (and lets face it this planet is full of trolls) they would immediatly be blocked with a warning and no further fuss made. Is it as simple as blocking an IP address ? I think so..... It's as easy for admin to click the "lock thread" button as it is for a troll to type something inappropriate. If its someone with only a few posts that has made the offending remark(s) then IMHO just block them. End of............   Edited By FastFlyer Smyth on 02/02/2015 23:23:34 Edited By FastFlyer Smyth on 02/02/2015 23:36:59
