  1. I believe it is possible by using a dongle but not sure how it works as I got the TX when I first bought it so I use that.
  2. James, you'll find a lot of people on this forum use Phoenix RC sim as you can create private sessions as usually in winter time a couple of sessions are open so we can all get our fix when we can't get outside.
  3. Some one probably could Ian but seen as though it wasn't any fault of the wonderful staff at RCMe I didn't say any thing as I was happy I'd actually won some thing lol.
  4. I can happily say I was the lucky person to win the the 3D printed Spitfire in the RCMe comp in October, unfortunately the postie wasn't that gentle with it and it had been crushed on route to me and a couple of the parts lets just say didn't fair too well, so I would have loved to tell you how it flies but it will only be a stay in the box type of hanger queen never to feel the rush of air over it's wings..... Other than that the build quality was rather decent. Edited By Phantom 622 on 20/12/2016 17:56:19
  5. Hi everyone my latest acquisition to my ( slowly ) growing fleet, had it's maiden today and I still can't get the smile of my face lol it chugs about at 1/2 throttle like a dream. It's definitely the pride of my fleet at the mo. p.s I know it's not supposed to have a huge red nose cone and it will be removed but I didn't want to fit the cowl till I knew every thing with power plant was good to go

  9. I know this has nothing to do with aero modelling but just seen this on the BBC news website and thought just how well jet pilots are trained and their concentration levels are some thing to be admired. Enjoy Tony Landing Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 28/06/2014 23:26:20
  10. I have been informed by one of the committee that the show starts at 10am tomorrow and also be prepared as a fellow member said it was rather boggy and he got his car stuck and had to be pushed out by 3 air cadet girls lol. With a bit of luck I'll be there tomorrow morning would have been today if I hadn't been working. Regards Tony.
  11. Yes please Mr Ashby count me in I need all the glue I can get
  12. Steve would those gaskets be the same size for an Irvine 40, 46 or weston 36 ? Regards Tony
  13. It's not a problem Chris I work in a garage so I can always get more if I ever need it just drop me a PM if you want to give it a go and I'll post it to you. I've just had a look in my stock bin and I've got plenty I've got 2 thicknesses so I can send you a bit of each if you wish. Tony
  14. I've used gasket paper on a couple of my 2s and I don't recall having a problem using it, it can be a bit fiddly trying to get the center cut out with out ripping it, bear in mind I was using a small hammer to tap it out but after a bit of practice I got it in the end. I might have a spare sheet of it kicking about if you would like to give it a try. Tony
  15. I don't want to rub it in or make any body feel old but I wasn't even a twinkle in my parents eye I still had another 2 year to go. But I do enjoy a warm summer night with a high wing trainer of all things, lazily chugging about the sky as the sun goes down.
  16. if any one fancies a flight I'm going to open a session for a couple of hours. RCME forum
  17. I haven't had a good flying session for ages unfortunately I can't make tonight I have a squash game but I would gladly host a session either Sat or Sun night if any one is up for it, let me know and we'll arrange a time that suits
  18. Hi David I know I'm late as usual but do you by any chance have a board left ? hopefully if you do I would gladly do a swap and send you some bubble wrap that might get a few more out the door. Regards Tony
  19. Thanks gents I wouldn't normally be this bothered but as it is my first decent sized, balsa, oil spitting warbird I'm chuffed to bits lol
  20. Evening everyone I had to let you all know after the all the head aches I've had trying to work out the CoG of this warbird I finally took the plunge and gave it it's first flight. To say I was happy would be an understatement I've been putting it off for weeks and all I can say I'm so pleased I didn't follow the instructions. She flew beautifully and the sound of that ASP 1.20 chugging around the sky was like music to my ears. Only down side she came in a bit heavy and the U/C got stuck in the mud two replacement screws later she's ready to go again also the camera didn't work so no video this time but defo for the next flight. Anyway enough of me blabbering on I'm off to celebrate with a tinny Tony p.s It was earlier on this afternoon I've just got round the posting lol
  21. Thanks for the feedback Cymaz, I'm definitely going to make a better rig than the quick one I knocked up with scrap bits. Tony
  22. Thanks to you Danny for doing it I've gained a little more knowledge all because I read that little tit bit in the mag and it put the idea in my head Tony
  23. Yes Bill thats basically what you would need or items similar to the same effect but that would make a Vanessa rig. Tony
