Having trundled up and down the highways and by-ways of this country for the last 30 years, I can honestly say that the majority of " road rage" incidents, bad driving or just plain verbal abuse comes from drivers of German badged cars BMW,Audi,Mercedes and Porsche, it seems to me that these people think " I can afford this so i have right of way. nb. German car owner drivers who frequent this forum are most likely exempt from these comments David

As an Auto Elec apprentice I had graduated from a Rallye wisp Ultramatic moped thru to a 175 Bantam , 125 CZ (ughhh) to a Yam 250 yds6 (boy was that quick) then after spell in hospital decided that 4 wheels were better than 2, hence my first car 13/60 Herald convertable,......... fast forward nearly 40 years have settled on Volvo estate (aircraft carrier) and a Triumph Bonneville America (local transport) near enough full circle I think.

debit cards have a set pence per transaction fee usually between 0.15p &.0.50p, credit cards have % of amount fee,most transactions anywhere in the world usually takes less than 5 working days to clear. Companies are getting wise to this and starting to take only debit cards ie spend £100.00 cost 0.25p transaction fee, spend £100.00 on credit card up to 3% commission. eg Lidle will only take debit cards for this reason. in this country it is illegal to levy a cost to the customer of more than the transaction fee or commission charged on card payments.

Whether its a model,a watch ,a toaster or an old pair of knickers you have to get and keep a receipt to prove it is your property until sold , other wise if the seller goes pear shaped the said item counts as an asset of that company, ask me how I know!!!!! David

The problem here is that Tim may have already admitted to being the driver of the vehicle ( by contacting the franchisee to complain) and therefore if it goes to court the evidence to prove he was the driver at the stated time of infringement is already available. Over the last 5 years I have had dealing on two separate occasions with these so called parking companies , and on both occasions it was down to them to prove I was the driver, they failed on both occasions and I never heard from them again, by writing to the owner/manager I fear Tim may well have compromised his position.
