Windscreen slope soaring!!

Edited By Martin Harris on 21/09/2010 20:05:50 Yeah, I think he joined in the fun with his Land Rover "thingy". The only problem was he didn't have a sunroof so we had to sit on the spare wheel which was mounted on the bonnet, and it tended to upset the airflow somewhat for windscreen soaring. Strewth, we did some daft things. B.C. "we did" - what's changed!!! -

David's Funeral will be at Kettering Crematorium (Albert Nunn Chapel) on Friday 23rd April at 1.30. From the number of people that have said they are going I am sure it will be standing room only.

I knew David for 40+ years, first as a tyro RC flyer, then building models for him for both Wings and Flambards, doing kit reviews in his days as magazine editor and in recent years test flying and photo shoots with him. David was a founder member of both the Wellingborough OG's MFA and the Nene Valley Aeromedellers, as was myself. I'm sure that all members of both clubs will join me in expressing our condolencies to Jill and the family. Chris

I've only just caught up with this thread as I have been dealing with a close family bereavement. I did know David was very ill and my sympathies go out to all his family and close friends. I learned to fly with David in the early 70s, have known him ever since and have built many of his designs. A nicer and more helpful bloke you will never meet. What more can I say except that I hope the next piece of news is good.
