  1. Nev, I am getting some cracking results on my two Anet A8's..Saying that, they are both fully modded and upgraded to the max. The prints are just as good as anything my £400+ Creality CR-10 can do.. 7 hours is pretty quick compared to the 54 hour print that my CR-10 has just completed. The corsair does look the most complicated, but stunning
  2. I'm not sure if this website has been mentioned before, but it is well worth checking out if your into 3d printing. I'm on a Creality CR-10 group on f/book, and one of the members posted a video of him flying a Spitfire he had printed out from the files that he bought from the site for $20 https://3dlabprint.com/ I have only been printing 3 weeks, and I already have two fully upgraded and modded Anet A8's, and a Creality CR-10..Its very addictive! I quite fancy having go at printing the Corsair
  3.   A little Hobbyking Fokker DR1 that I finished this morning..A bit fiddly and the instructions leave a lot to be desired, but it was fun to build..I just need to find a wooden prop to replace the out of place plastic one. Edited By denis parkinson on 11/04/2018 10:30:34
  4. I thought I would have a play with one of HK's cheap and cheerful laser cut kits.
  5. Cheers for that Linds.. I'm running mine with a 3s 2.2 and a 9x6 prop, and on the watt meter, its pushing out just shy of 300 watts. I have however found out, that the motor I'm using will happily turn a 11x7 prop, so I have one on order. The c.o.g however is out, and she is tail heavy..I tried putting the battery directly behind the motor, and she balances perfectly, so today, I'm going to try and take out the original battery tray, and make a new one to fit inside the cowl cover..Its a nice empty space, so I may as well make use of it..Added advantage, is that I only have to remove the cover, and the battery comes out with it.
  6. I bought one of their laser cut kits the other week from the Euro warehouse, and it was here 3 days later, and I was really impressed. Last week, I bought some servo lead extensions from the Euro warehouse and I'm still waiting for them.
  7. Linds, if your still about, I have a question regarding weight..Can you tell me what the all up weight of your Fred was please? Mine weighs in at exactly 4 pounds.
  8. Posted by Lindsay Todd on 28/03/2017 13:27:58: Blimey that's quick, super job. I'll check the spec again on my motor, its pulling just under 300watts as I recall, fly's fine but not much reserve to play with. Linds Thanks Linds..The superb plans and your build diary helped.. I have just been through my wood collection, and I have enough to make another one...Very tempted.lol

  10. Fred from the latest free plan...A few decals to add, plus a go faster stripe, and she's ready for the maiden

  12. I found another motor in my drawer that is more than up to the job, and is rated at 400 watt. I'm just over the 100 watts per pound (assuming the model will weigh around 3 pound when finished), but I do have a throttle. Edited By denis parkinson on 20/03/2017 13:10:14
