Thought I'd post on here as no point making another thread , has anyone else on here had a rexcel opto kill switch burn out , I ask because earlier tonight I plugged mine in as per the destructions and left for a few seconds while a had a sip of my drink & I looked back and somehow it must have been shorting and it was burning up really fast and I had to unplug as it was getting hot the kill switch was even hotter than the battery , I have used them before on an sbach but this is a newer unit and does not seem to function properly , I used various batteries as I thought it may have just been that one but no again the same problem. I am going to send it back to just engines unless anyone else has had the same problem and has a way to rectify it?

Hi Aaron , Firstly Welcome to the forum there are many people on here that will be willing to help out however they can whatever your problem Secondly I do not reccomend learning to fly on your own , it can be done with lots of patience but i belive that with help from an instructor it is so much easier as they can teach you where you are going wrong and teach you how to improve. Thirdly I think that joining a club is very important as then everything is carried out in a safe area where if anything goes wrong the people in the area know that the site is home to an RC Aircraft club most even have signs saying "warning!low flying model aircraft", Regarding young people i truly belive that they should be treated as responsible adults because i think that if they are shouted at whilst they are learning to fly they lose confidence (for example if the instructor shouts pull up or DONT DO THAT) they loose interest. In our club i can think of 5 people aged between 5 - 16 youngsters off the top of my head including myself (there is probably more) but i think that this is because all of our instructors are very experienced and will just ask in a calm manor for the student to pull up or bank left , i think that if they are spoken to in a proper manor they gain more interest instead of loosing interest. And last but not least i think that learning to fly with a 4ch model is much more assuring as when you progress to other models you wont find it too different. Where abouts are you heres our club website **LINK** , we are host to 3 shows per year. Hope i have helped you in some way Morgan

Monopoly - Did you know....?
Morgan Goule replied to Steve Hargreaves - Moderator's topic in Chit-chat
really interesting, I like good war stories. Having scoured google I have found some more information on the matter , I love the fact that he went on to meet a few former POWs who actually used Wadddington's maps to escape from a prisoner camp at Colditz Castle, near Leipzig, Germany. -
Thanks ,didn't see it 😊

This new battery can withstand more than 7,500 charging cycles without any loss of capacity, vs other lab developed aluminum batteries typically lasting around 100 cycles before expiring. I don't know much about batteries but I thought that I would post this on here and see other opinions?

Me and my dad have been running out of space for a while now , tripping over models in the house. So as he and I have this week off school & work I thought we could come up with some sort of rack to hang models from to save some space. I was just wandering if anyone else has done this and if so we would just like to know how you have made it to help us on our design & maybe some pics if possible
