  1. Anyone know who won what this year? wasn't able to make it this year.
  2. I'm not knocking C/L if people want to do C/L then let them. Maybe its back to the issue of preceved noise and actual noise.
  3. I do agree that each to there own. if people want to fly control line then let them. I have flown C/L before and dont really get it to be honest but thats me, I prefer R/C but I have nothing againt C/L. I DO agree howerver  that they need to be moniterd for sound  though, they can be incredably loud and if the rest of us have to complie they why not them? A C/L is generally a lot noiseir than a an RC even befor they unload in the air and the pitch of the noise travels a lot further. We have had to stop people fling C/L at our site because of the noise.
  4. There are only a few of them at the bmfa offices so it may take a while. give them a ring to ensure that they have reciverd your application. they may even be able to give you your number over the phone. It tends to be that once they have your cash that you are insured i may be wrong, i know it applies to renewals but initial apps may take longer.
  5. Got mine through looking like another good issue. Must just say my deepest sympathies go to Mr Whittaker and the fire he suffered in what you would have thought been a safe place.
  6. Is that new speky Rx and small servo set not restricted in range? and does any one stock it yet? have had a look  and spoke to a few retailers and none of them seem to know any more than what they have read in this months BMFA news.
  7. I liked that! My start up screen on my computer comes up with.........   "DAVE.... WHAT YOU DOING DAVE?????"   I like HAL.   So Mr Ashby whats the new juicy insider info us subscribers can look forward too?
  8. OK sorry, but it just seemed to vanish about a year ago and I guessed (WRONGLY) that you guys had got rid of it caues it didnt work. Sorry I look forward to some nice juciy Subscribers only hot of the press insider info!
  9. Didn't this site have a "subscribers only" bit before and it was removed, if my memory is right then it got scraped because it didn't work. so why bring it back? I subscribe so i dont mind but am just curiouse?
  10. Thanks for the link. well now to get a couple and give one to my Daughter and convert 1. Now were is that spare edf unit! Must admit its one hell of a deal!
  11. Can you post the link as the only one I can find the ones with out servos for £8.99 the ones with servos and rx start at about £20 odd £.
  12. Fantastic looks really good. well done Grant!
  13. The other option is to use a JR Tx Rx charger. Only a few quid and designed for the job.
  14. Now I know this is a long shot but, does the new jamara 6 ch RX work with Speky stuff? There is a advert on p91 of this months RCM&E.   My thinking is this, Its DSM (not DSM2) and a Spektrum DSM2 Tx  (ie DX7) will work with DSM Rx's and DSM2 Rx's. I know most of the other brands use there own systems (FASST, DHSS, FHSS, etc..) but do they use the same coding in the same DSM system or are they diffrent bettwen brands? It's probably the coding issue that will prevent them being used toghter but is it a posabilaty?    Edited By Dave Towell on 18/07/2009 14:40:22

  22. looks good. you mean you did'nt finish it in one day?LOL
  23. could you put the link in please. am thinking of getting one.
  24. Could'nt agree more! Don't rush into your next model, fly your trainer to bits then a simple low winger, and again fly it to bits, then something from your list. I know ever one is different but most of us have made that mistake and rushed into something after passing thier "A".  Look at it this way you learn to drive in a fiesta and pass your test in a fiesta, dosen't mean that you can drive a Ferrari.
