  1. hows about RAF WOODVALE its not far of the M6 motorway or is it to far NORTH ???????????? thanks
  2. had a couple of those sirocco models brought them in in the nineties, i used to fly for them at shows, duraflex fuzz and a half inch metal wing joiner witch used to bend in loops used to put it in the other way round to straighten them out, we even tried half inch one eight wallstainless and it still bent that if i had one now i would put wood across the fuz as im sure the fuz used to flex?? with wood across the fuz it would not tend to flex still have the wings in the loft i think, used a rossi 61 poweras they imported them also, nice model apart from the wing flex, that is if yours is a duraflex fuzz get the wood across
  3. we have a guy in our club that had one expolde in his garage ?put the fear of god up him he only flys electric , so he went and bought an ex army metal ammo box painted it red and now keeps all his lipos in it ,seems like a good idea proberbly better than these so called lipo bags thats what you want mate good enough for bullits good enough for lipos
  4. just passed wilmslow wodford bob on time low and quite 15-15 pm
  5. FLIPPIN ECK IVE READ ALL OF THIS AND IT SEEMS WE ALL NEED TO BE PIGGIN L A LAWERS BEFORE WE CAN FLY ANYWERE TODAY ALL THE GUY WANTED TO KNOW WAS WERE HE COULD FLY HIS MODEL PLANE IN PEACE LEGALLY park flyer???????
  6. many years ago had the same problem as far as i know all librarys must have a copy of the local bye laws (by law) when asked at my local library i was told they were wating for them to come back from the printers ?i never did receive a copy to look at, i was asked by the local council for what perpose did i require to see the bye laws on parks, my answer was to see if i could legally use a crossbow or throw a javalin ??i never said anything about model flying whitch is what i wanted to know (keep them quessing ) they were up in arms saying i could not do that on a local park, i was then told by someone on the council that if it says you cannot do it then you cannot eg(a sign saying no golf) if it does not say you cant do it what ever in this case fly a model aircraft then you can take as you CAN do it otherwise there would be a sign saying NO model flying you need the local bye laws to find out weather you can or cannot whatever its a mine field and the local council normally dont have a clue,
  7. it wasnt me somebody got a good buy but, i did buy a CUTTLAS at the nats proberbly my next build?might stick a webra in it??? or C M B or think ive got a rossi under the bench ????not sure yet, er after me extra slim
  8. a up pete hope you enjoyed the nats?? no matter which company you go with there all making plenty of dosh (A) may give you cheaper gas and electric than (B) but there standing charge is dearer, this standing charge that they all put on now by the day is nothing but a rip off . in 2005 i could buy a reconditioned gas meter all the tags tested the lot for £25-50 same with the electric meter but that was a lot more expensive about £80-00 ,over the years we have all paid many times over for these meters but they still charge us for them just one form of getting more money out of us ahhahhhhh,
  9. i know someone who has half a super 60 built????? but it has a 63 inch wingspan?????? hes that confused he dosnt know which end of the wing to start covering first the right or the left its a massive decision giveing him a headache??????

  12. JUST FOR YOU LOT I THINK I BELONG TO ONE OF THE BEST FLYING CLUBS IN THE COUNTRY ITS SMALL yep if youve read my other posts i only know of two other clubs who work the same as this??? one is on here now ???? we have a container to store three? yes three sit on lawn mowers we have a perposely built clubroom complete with electricary( from a generator) and a person that cooks SAUSAGES regular and burgers and chilli and potatoe hash, we have a jar to put in what ever small change the members have when we have food and that goes to cancer research once a year ,i wont say how much we raise but its for a good cause and when the weather is bad we have dicusions on all sorts of things, or we watch videos (no not that sort) on aircraft, so now you all know about a good flying club nothing negative about our club, subs are dear though????????? but look what you get? bet your all jelious now sorry? we limit members to 25. so join a que now TTFN well pleased john?????? PS nearly forgot we have our own TOILET yep one of those blue walk in jobbies that you see at the shows see you soon

  14. i belong to a small select club, we have been on our present site since 1990 its a farmers field to which we have a chunk of land about 100x40 yds just for the landing and take off area our membership is small. at the moment its nineteen but we will go to twentyfive our flying times are 24/7 10am till dark ??you cannot simply join our club you will be invited to come flying (sunday is the best day to come) maybe three or four times (if you can fly allready) learners are different and each member is asked what do you think of this person and his flying ??we want some one to fit into our way ,we think thats a good way ,eg NO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS nonesense and a lot more besides, must stop blowing the trumpet now see what answers i get. ps our youngest member is 44 i think, and we try to teach him the basics oflive as well as flying ,he recently asked me what a ragmans trumpet was ?????? john
  15. in answer to some of your questions on this topic??? the reason its on here is because the person in question must be known to a lot of people on here and some of you would be amazed at who it is???? also perhaps the guy in question is a regular to this site ????????????? I THINK, COULD BE POSSIBLE thats why its on here to see if he pays up
  16. this guy is the lowest of the low hes had the stuff and should pay up, i did put a reply on here yesterday but it was taken off pity we cant name and shame him, the ex-military type mention above are standing by ??????
  17. ive had one for a couple off months i got it because of lycra louts (cyclists) were i go flying i have to go down a lot of country lanes these on bikes can be 3 or 4 abrest and will not move to let you pass?? no road tax? no m.o.t.? no insurance.? and more rights on the road than me??????makes you wonder dosnt it
  18. elvington seems about the best place for a bmfa centre could have bought it years ago, i was told its not wide enough for free flight?????? been going to the nats for years a lot of f/f models go out of the boundry of the airfield so whats the difference .ELVINGTON not far of the motorway routes, has its own canteen and toilet facilites and a bit of a museum to boot also the longest runway in england im told price in the nineties £ 1,000,000, A BARGIN and we missed the boat?????????
  19. is this a smaller version of the flying machine that sirocco models used to sell in the early nineties? if it is i used to give tim (one of the owners ) a lift to make them i a garage in cheadle hulme, cheshire, dont have a plan though looks very much like it
