  1. Thanks the rear struts were an attempt to spread the load across the depron wing .they are probably too stiff really but it's all a learning curve!
  2. Here is my depron version of the Ballerina, covered with coloured packing tape. I hope you don't mind the few mods. Weighs 3lb 10oz inc batteries, and fly's really well.

  4. Thanks Steve for your quick reply blade profile and incidence are as plan the rotors don't seem to spin up when pointing into wind very fast and was wondering if more negative incidence would help.There is 5 degree of tilt on the head when tailplane is level
  5. Hi can anyone advise on why the rotors are not spinning up enough .First flight was lucky to get into the air but trimmed and flew well.On next attempt could not get enough speed in rotors.

  7. Tried some taxiing today I noted it veered to the right and when the rotors started to spin up it lifted the right wheel (banked to the left). Not being an experienced flyer I backed out at this stage. Do you think I have too much right thrust on the motor? and not enough right trim on the rotor?

  9. Well Rich, after the success of molding the canopy - my first attempt at molding anything. I thought it was easy and I could mold everything. So I built a plug for the spats and spent a day experimenting with various plastic bottles, meat trays etc, Because of the deep draw of the spats I couldn't get anything to work as the plastic split or burnt through. I needed something thicker and delving in the garage found some 3mm plexi-glass (from B&Q many years ago) which had a wider window of flexibility when heated. I heated the plastic until it started to haze (I was painting them anyway so they didn't need to be clear). I still had the difficulty of forming without creases or folds so I made the former to guide the plug through the material. The former hole is 3mm bigger than the plug with a beveled edge to make it easier to feed the material in & move through. I did need to make a few adjustments to the shape of the plug and finally had a 50% success rate! I ended up with a bin full of rejects and 2 good spats, and a satisfying day. Hope this enlightens you.

Hi rich just finished the fuselarge and to plan the side sheeting needs to be 3mm longer to cover F1c & F1a otherwise all good my question is the build notes say the blades are 44mm 450 mm but plans show 60mm wide? which is correct .This is .my first autogyro build lookin forward to its maiden flight
