  1. I use this one for airbrushing. So comfortable I forget its on. Force 8 Face mask
  2. Shameless bump following Martin Collins 1 Winter Build thread........ ?
  3. Wow. Could you all embrace innovation and evolution any less? ?
  4. Thanks all but I am less worried at the moment about my power trains and more about getting enough interest for Richard to put some kits together.
  5. Having looked for build ideas to use 2 open rocker 40 4 strokes, I have landed on Richard’s warbirds replicas BF110 and JU88. I now just need to find a few more interested parties to convince Richard to produce the kits. So, over to you………..
  6. I managed to dent my acrowot foamE beyond repair today. Before I order a new one I wondered if there was any other equivalent model that I should consider in its place.
  7. I have a couple of old open rocker enya 40 engines that I thought if I can get running well would make for an interesting long term twin project. So looking for kit options please. Would like a good flyer as well as not too difficult build if that exists. thanks.
  8. Apologies Cliff, I hadn't realised it was a hornet's nest waiting to be disturbed and have now ruined your thread. ?
  9. Hi Cliff. Interesting to note that your club allows lone flying. I had assumed clubs always went with minimum of 2 pilots at any time. May be worth a separate thread to discuss. nice field and planes by the way. ?
  10. SO in a change of fortune, I have been offered an ARTF WOT4 with SC46 2 stroke and servos etc for £150. I have yet to see it but am led to believe it is un-flown and engine unused. Just wondered what others thoughts are on that. It means I have access to an instant plane with everything already on it so save some pennies as well. Thoughts?
  11. Whilst carrying out some work on my limbo dancer earlier trying to fit everything in teh tiny space available I managed to pull teh smaller areiel away from my AR610 receiver. Any thoughts on what my options are please? Is this diy repairable? I assume best option is replace with a new one and since 4ch will do I may as well get a new aerial-less AR410 for just £25.
  12. Thanks guys. Well you've saved me £25+ so thank you. I'm going to continue to solder. ?
  13. ARTFs are due in stock again at some point. BUT THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME!!!!!!
  14. Since my search for a second hand pre built WOT4 has delivered no success, I am now considering buying a kit version and building it myself. I have built a few planes so not new to it, but I struggle for time and also find myself procrastinating a lot during the build when it comes to things such as control links and engine mounting. Therefore wondered what everyone's experiences are when building the WOT4, either classic or Mk3? Should I bother? Thanks
  15. Rather than my normal use of cutting extension leads and then re-soldering I thought it might be better to start crimping new connectors onto my servo leads. Quick search threw up loads of options including different names of connectors etc in ebay, amazon and the like. Thought it might be easier therefore to check ion here for recommendations for where to get the connectors and crimp pliers please? Any good experiences? Or bad ones that I should avoid? Thanks
  16. Thanks for the reply guys. Before I consider Stevan's offer, I wonder if there is any benefit in buying alternative brands. I tend to buy hobbyking to gain a price benefit, but are 4Max setups worth extra money? Better efficiency perhaps or just longevity? Thanks
  17. As title suggest, I need to replace the motor and ESC on my foam e wot 4. Rather than buy the expensive original parts I wonder what alternatives I have please? Thanks

    IC powered WOT4

I'm after an IC powered WOT 4 please. Ideal would be built, with a 4 stroke strapped to the front, ready to fly and local to Surrey, but will consider anything at the right price. Thank you
  19. Thanks Guys. I'll see if I can find a calculator to check. FYI, this is the model in question...... https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=7298
  20. My build of my small Fly Baby has stalled recently, partly through time and if I am honest partly as I am at a couple of decision points (tricky bits) mainly around the electronics. One of those is what to do about the ailerons. The instructions are very limited and simply say stick a servo in centre and then drill through all necessary ribs for the control cable. I guess my 2 options are: 1 Have a centre servo and then I assume snakes along wings to the control surfaces 2. Go for a more modern set up with individual servos in each wing. I personally like the idea of option 2 as it seems easier and gives more flexibility when aligning, setting up etc. So if that is my option, how do I choose servo size? Those who have seen my other power source will know that it is an 049 to 090 (old money), 2217 (new money) size. In my spares box i have some 9g size (HXT900) servos as well as some 4.3g MX-95E so would be great if one or other would be suitable. Thoughts please. Thanks
  21. @PatMc - Out of interest, is there science behind your suggestions? What calculations are required to arrive at the power source being suitable please? Thanks
