I have tried doing a reset but to no avail. If anyone is familar with programming this TX I would be greaful for your advice.
  4. Thanks for advice no not starting out just getting old slow reactions! nearly 80 now. Joe
  5. Hi I was on the point of ordering one of these when I read David Ashby's review in this months mag. I am now very confused ! He says to start with the Cof G at 78mm to start and move it forwards to get more penetration. I always understood you should start with it forward to give greater stability when learning and move it back later to be more sensitive and add weight to increase penetration.can someone explain please .Have I got things all wrong?
  6. I fly mode2,  in the midlands, in the midlands part self taught part with instructor
  7. Gorilla glue seems a good possibility I will give it a try as well as Rocket foam safe Ca
  8. No I haven't tried a hot melt gun it seems to be my best option I will have to get one.Thanks.
  9. Hi ,does anyone know of a glue for foam models that does not give off fumes I've become allergic to Ca, UHU Por, Evostick ,Etc.
  10. I have just purchased a Century Mosquito mini heli does anyone know how to correct yaw on these? it continually turns left full right trim isn't enough to correct it so I have to hold some right stick all the time to fly it. the receiver unit does not have a balance pot like the Lama does. The motors don't seem very good the heli tipped over and although I shut the throttle almost immediatly the top motor burnt out.
  11. You are probably right Jan but my point was the difficulty of buying any, Incidently my NiMi cells are Multiplex   not a rogue manufacturer ! and the LiPo ones I bought are definitly better.
  12. Thanks Bruce I had not heard of this firm, packs are too big but it's worth knowing  for other packs in the future. I have now bought a 2s LiPo and after charging I tried discharging on a lamp load and was very suprised to find that  the on load voltage was higher and stayed at the level longer than my 9.6V  NiMi. even though the nominal voltage was much lower.  When it stops raining I'll go and fly
  13. NiMi packs already seem to be getting unavailable I've been trying to get some 9.6V 1500mH packs for my easy glider no one has any, Steve Webbs tried to order some from Multiplex but they did'nt have any , Looking at the various retailers on the webb hardly any lists NiMi packs or cells at all Puffin list some but are always out of stock when I try to order any. How to other modelers cope ? a 2s pack is only 4.7V so I would be very down on power and a 3s pack is too thick to fit in the battery compartment and would probably be too much for the motor anyway. I have several other models that use 8.4V packs so this is going to be a big problem for me.
  14. Thanks Eric done that now hovers fine. I was trying to hover nose in when I crashed it , not easy!
  15. Hi Eric re. Photo see my last post it's the only one I have I don't have a digital camera to photograph it. yes I do mean the blade root . The problem  is that when the flybar came off it pulled the link apart i.e. stripped the thread in one of the ball link connectors so I don't know what length to make  a new one now to give the correct incidence to the upper blade. The length of the link which clips over the ball ends on the flybar and the upper blade sets the incidence of the upper blade. hope this information helps
  16. this is the diagram the link in question is the vertical one immediatly to the left of the finger I don't know if I have done this right code is there but no picture
  17. I  have scanned a copy of the linkage into my pictures on the computer  but can't find out how to put it into this window copy and past does not work nor does dragging it to this window . the linkage in question is the small screwed link with a ball link connector at each end on end of  which is clipped onto the flybar and the other end to the upper blade. hope this helps
  18. Hi does anyone know how to set the flybar linkage on the Lama V3 please, after a colision with the sofa the flybar flew off and pulled the linkage apart . I've looked on the internet and the only advice I can find is that the flat part of the upper blade at the root should be level when the flybar is level but this is impossible since the threaded rod is nowhere long enough to allow this.
  19. I have just received a new Netto leaflet and I see they are selling "wireless colour CCTV kits" which operate on 2.4GHz if this band is now being used for commercial purposes are we now back with the old  27 MHs problems ?
  20. I have a Humming Bird V3 which uses the 4in1 unit and a T6X Futaba computer transmitter and they work fine together I use Futaba crystals in the transmitter
  21. Thanks I'll try that, I can't view link since I get my copy from  the newsagents because some years ago I used to subscribe but mag kept disapearing in the post . Areomodeling postie too mean to buy a copy? I have added nose weight.
  22. Hi does anybody know how to get a Palm Z micro indoor model to fly straight. Mine just flys in left hand circles even with full right trim I've added nose weight to stop it stalling
