  3. long mynd scale day This year's WMAC scale glider fly-in's will take place on..  Sunday 15th July Sunday 2nd September As usual we will be camping over the weekends and there will be sport and scale flying 'off the peg' on the Friday and Saturday.   7. this is my second scratch build this last year. not yet had its maiden. it is a nearly 1/3 scale mdm fox and is 4.5 meter span and is 12 kg . the fuz is made by the lost foam method with epoxy/ glass and the wings are foam veneer with carbon and wood spar then the wings are glassed.
  8. just finished this asw 27 at 1/4 scale 4.2 meters. scratch built using the lost foam method for the fuz and the wings and tail are full carbon. Edited By Roo Hawkins on 10/03/2018 20:19:42
  9. thanks reg or ian all my gliders are scratch built. the largest being a dg 800 at 6 meter span.. the one on the middle work bench is my new one and is a 1/3 scale fox putting the graphics on at the min .i have built 9 in the last 4 years. but I have to plan when I build because my work shop has no insulation in the roof .been looking at some of the great workshops on this thread. to plan how to do it. ROO
  10. I am trying to ID some old kits can anyone help. In about 1983 or 4 I used to live in coalvill leistershire and there was a Wearhouse called hugglscote Wearhouse that used to sell anything from food to toys. One day they had some model aircraft kit and Cox engines in the code where only £1.50. I can not remember the name of the kits and I would like to build one of the gliders I had? I thick they may have been French or Spanish kits the glider I had was called aalbatross and looked like a svenson sunny and may be a copy. Can anyone help with the neme
