  1. I should have mentioned the JB advert from 2002 is on screen #4
  2. I recently bought a second-hand JB Aviation Merlin but can't find any information on CoG and control surface throws. I could "wing it" of course but would prefer a safer journey into the air and back to terra firma. Any info will be most welcome.
  3. Evening Gents, A couple of things ( a thank you and a request): 1) It is barely a month ago that I asked for help in getting one of RM's Me109 kits - all based on the magnificent build log and appreciation that the aircraft is one of the flying icons. Today I collected my Me109 kit - so hearty thanks to all involved in enabling this 2) Although I'll aspire to building as lovely a model as PJ has produced I will be wanting to access the build log a lot.to help me with trying to do that. So, does the build log stay available online forever (more or less) and if not is there any convenient way to download it (one screen at a time works but is painful). This may be a no-brainer to many, if so can someone tell me the trick ? Thank you all Ed
  4. Hi Bucksboy Just got to your good and welcome message.I'll respond more fully tomorrow when I can use my laptop. Ed
  5. Hello Bucksboy, You'll see from recent posts that I'm keen to lay hands on just what you have untouched and still in its box. If you think you might not get around to building it I'd be interested to take it off your hands. Cheers Ed
  6. Beautiful work Mr. Johnson and this entire thread encouraged my lust for an Me109 (as in my post a couple of weeks ago). So, me and Jari make two keen to buy. Only a few more needed to justify a production run ! Meanwhile Happy 2019 to you all. Ed Spark
  7. Gentlemen, Maybe you can help me to lay hands on a Bf109 kit. There is a bit of background..... After far too long I am getting ready to build the Spitfire Mk.1 and Tempest Mk.V which I bought from Richard Mills in the 90s. Richard has been very helpful recently in connection with those models. While furtling around his website I was attracted to the Bf109 model and have read, with increasing enthusiasm, your above build log. However I was dismayed to realise that once the kits were gone they were gone. RM has told me that if there were half a dozen committed buyers he could do a production run. I know what I would like to buy me for Christmas, so do you know of any builders who along with me could make six buyers? Alternatively, do you know of anyone who bought the kit but has decided not to build it after all? Fingers crossed for all of that. Happy Christmas Ed
  8. Hi Roger, I recently bought a second hand Kite which has a tricycle undercart i.e non-steering (Grrrrr....). so ground handling is awkward. Making it steerable is possible, but would need some undesirable surgery to the engine mount and firewall area, so I would prefer to change to a tail-dragger which could easily be made steerable. I will need to move the main wheels forward of the Centre of Gravity and although I can guesstimate where they should be fixed, it would be best to have the accurate position from the instructions. I hope you (or others) can help me with this. Cheers Ed
