  1. I've got the vintage bug, built myself a Tomboy (2 ch) and Cardinal (FF) and am in the process of further builds... If I were to programme my Tx so that rudder control was on max expo I.e. No proportionality, so simply left/right full throw each input, would this be 'frowned upon' if I were to come along to a S/C fly-in?
  2. I'm just getting back into Diesels and am LOVING the smell and oilyness of it all. I also competed in the Bowden Trophy at the FF Nats for the first time and that was fab too. Thus far I've built a Tomboy and a Cardinal and am 14 years old again....Magic Edited By Bustergrunt on 01/06/2016 18:52:43 Edited By Bustergrunt on 01/06/2016 19:03:42 Edited By Bustergrunt on 01/06/2016 19:16:50

  5. Posted by Danny M2Z on 26/10/2015 09:28:36: Posted by Michael Ramsay-Fraser on 25/10/2015 21:14:24: So, another Aussie win with a sin binning that shouldn't have happened and a try from an obvious forward pass that killed the game off. Just how many refs do the Aussies have in their pockets or is there a vested interest in getting the two top teams to the final? After all, the TV audience wouldn't have been up to much if Argentina or Scotland made it to the final. Or am I just too cynical? Lol, Australia population around 23 million, New Zealand about 4.5 million, England over 50 million. You Poms can't kick, can't pass, can't run, but you do know how to whinge. At the end of the day, the Kiwi's are favourites (despite their low population) as the All-Blacks are a force to be reckoned with (and I'm an Aussie) - But they are going to have to work at it.... You should watch and you might learn something. Bit of a change from all the bold predictions earlier on in this thread eh-what old chappie? * Danny M * Omigod, the hypocracy is paplable, I have been reading the 'Geen and Gold' forum and the amount of whinging regarding the refs decisions was vomit inducing, when the Wobblies were gifted the match against the Scots it was a different story, but now the boot is pn the other foot they all start crying into their weak beers....well done the ABs, and that was with one in the sin bin, Dan Carter...not too shabby
  6. Proper radio, now then Missus....stoppit, I'll wet myself....Multiplex still rules (of course), and I only have this radio as it was a freebie with a Heli I have just bought... And yes that helps thanks, I now have some decent reading material for my trip to London tomorrow, although I should be memorising my presentation     Edited By Bustergrunt on 02/11/2015 13:18:37

  9. Well chaps after all your input (much appreciated) I have decided to stick with I/c...so will be acquiring a suitable engine shortly....although OS48's seem a bit thin on the ground these days
  10. Due to zero building space in my Garage/workshop (motorbike, and too many planes) a friend is finishing off an SE5A which I as given half built... However I'm in a bit of a quandary (there's a if word) over which power to give it.. 1. Electric - easy but won't sound right 2. Four stroke - OS 48 wild be my preference for sound 3. Diesel - Irvine 40 would swing a nice large prop and smell superb Any suggestions ?
  11. This is my sunbird install....now sold on and I can't recall the wing servos, but I'm sure I got them from Tony Fu
  12. It"s primary purpose will be as a glider tug, but also as a practice low winger for my next scale project...a YT Bucker Bestmann...
  13. I bought this somewhat tired airframe some months ago, and after installing a Zenoah 45 and fabricating a new noseleg, plus a fiar amount of other fettling, I reckon it's almost ready for. Atest flight...it's a heavy old thing...
  14. Yep, it was FAB, I was there too with the Mrs....what a great day...shame that the scheduled Red Arrows display was nothing more than an unannounced single Flypast...didn't have my camera ready....
