Hi All Here is my suggestion How about the V22 Osprey the tilt wing aircraft from Bell-Boeing I would think this would be a good subject (electric) Not a helicopter or a plank Maybe a difficult subject to construct with fully tilting rotors Even more interesting learning a new way of flying (Moving from the hover to forward flight and back again for landing, may even require a Gyro for heading hold) Not been done as yet, apart from silverlit as far as I know I think that it would a great project and certainly a Model of Interest at any club or show

Try my luck how about Apocalypse Meaning (*lifting of the veil" or "revelation") is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind (or not model flyers). mgtf -

While out with a few friends last weekend the conversation turned to usual question what Christmas presents to buy for the other half or what we would like for ourselves. I stated that I didn’t have a clue as what her, indoors wanted and that she would have to give me some clues. The reply came, was that she had no idea and was not that bothered, so I still don’t know what to buy. When asked by the others what I would like, I mentioned a new heli would be nice NO WAY you have one already what do you need another for came the reply. Subject of conversation changed more drinks purchased. Monday morning I was asked what was the heli I wanted and how much. I told her E-sky belt cp and the price@ £159.99., came out in a rush. To my surprise the conversation continued, could I get one and would it be available for Christmas? No problem was my reply as http://www.fast-lad.co.uk had them in stock not 30 minutes away, so two hours later I was the owner of an E-sky belt cp. Not to opened till the 25th however much I ask. Still don’t know what to buy her but we are to go Goa for 3 weeks in Jan and last year while there she purchased some gold Jewellery, so I expect that’s when it will be my turn for a late Crimbo present. Sorry for going on but I'm EXCITED

Hi Steve Scared of dark places No I just used the page setup on the computer as to days mag size is A4 and the old mag is half the size, A5 My first RC unit was a Macgregor S/c valve unit then moved on to an OS Pixi S/c (still in garage don’t think it will work now) followed by a Gem 4Ch then to a Sanwa 4ch next came one of the first JR 4ch units. Now I have an Optic 6. Sold my gear, twenty odd years ago I have started again as I have now retired. My last flying project was a Micro Mold Lark (chopper) and I have started on choppers again. Reactions are not very good at present, hope to get the hang of it soon) in the past there have been Gliders, a/c, boats, cars electric flight, no sailboats or Subs. How I wish we had the things that are available now when I started, would have been great MGTF

Hi Guys I have just started this hobby again after a 25year absence and been reading through your threads about servos (From Dead Stick) How about RCM&E publishing a series of technical articles with regard to the vital statistics of servos? Yesterday while looking in our garage I came across an old RCM&E In this volume there was a servo test conducted by the editor who was then W.P. Holland and not Graham Ashby or assistant editor David Ashby. On test were RC.S Multi servo £9.10.0d Annco 2RL £11.1.0d Maximite T&R £9.19.6d RC.S Multi servo Physical Data Weight 1.7oz /Mounting 4 bolts / Size 2.3/4 x 1.1/2 x1.3/16 in / Output Radial lever / Transit 7/16in / Centring adjustment /Nil (now available on latest models) Trim Adjustments / Nil / Motor Microperm Special / Gears/ Dural Case / Nylon And now for it Price £9.10.0d. Not going to type out other servo details So it is true what has been stated, RCM&E have done articles on servos in the past. Date RCM&E Volume4 Number12 December 1963 Price 2/6d Magazine Size Height 8.27” Width 5.83” Shows my age, started this hobby in 1961 MGTF
