  1. Works for me? From page 1 up to the latest.
  2. I posed this question recently; Might be worth a read

Silly question and sorry to jump in. I'm looking at new bearings on an engine and most I see have shields. Why remove them to get engine oil if they are already pre-greased? Can't I just leave them sealed?
  4. I started flying couple years ago and only fly nitro. I find electric more expensive and batteries are finicky with storage charging etc. Plus I like the tinkering side of things as well as flying. I think if I flew electric it would be too easy? If that makes sense? Nothing other than flying. Plus, bimbling around in the sky for 20 mins with my 40 trainer watching people take off and land their models after 5 mins flying due to batteries running low, seems a bit short to me. I like ebay, but I have to disagree with pricing, even last 2 years I've noticed price rise, gutted I didn't stock up on asp/sc when I first started before they closed down.
  5. Is there a point where it is not possible to get a prop below 82db? As a boyhood dream I have always wanted the classic 1/4 spitfire and hope one day to build it but I have always wondered about the 82db reg as not much point in building if it can't be flown anywhere. I was always assuming it would have to be electric which I'd rather it not be and have a 120/130cc 4 stroke but noise has always concerned me. Even if it was electric, would a prop for a plane that big get below 82db? I have spent many hours googling if anyone has ever done db readings on the larger planes but have never seen an example.
  6. Mine has an irvine 40 which is marginal in getting off the ground in time but once up its fine and seems fairly reliable. Got me through me A end of last year ?
  7. Following with interest as I have the exact same question. When I see models being sold with 30cc+ engines, where do people fly? I can't believe so many people have private land or non bmfa sites? I'm also interested in 40cc+ 4 stroke. I was looking at the ngh 38cc 4 stroke and it seems to be the point where 82db is a struggle, how do people fly bigger?
  8. Being a cheapskate and needing a few glow plugs for several rough running engines and also would like some spare I would like to get some new plugs but not break the bank. Obviously os no8 is the one quoted as the best all rounder but if I can save a couple quid I will. Anyone have any experience of the just engines offerings? Are they any good or shall I just stump up the extra money?
  9. Ah OK, thanks all. So sounds like using just the standard pre access q7 with nothing fancy in the back I should be OK. I will definitely range check once the field opens back up again ? I haven't dared Flash anything with anything else as it works now and I'm not into the technical side of radios.
  10. Morning all. After getting thoroughly confused with frsky changing protocol after needing some new receivers for some newly acquired models I got myself 2x radiomaster r168 after hearing good things. Binding was no issue, failsafe will sort however in the instructions they say about fine tuning the receiver frequency? I have a qx7 transmitter and cannot find anywhere with this option and Google is no help as always when it comes to taranis. Is this necessary? Is it possible? So confused. I just want to fly and this stuff is all very confusing.
