  2. Posted by bruce batten on 03/06/2016 16:52:14: HI I always get the main plans photocopied at Staples as they are quite cheap. Then I have a plan that I can cut out and paste to the wood with a water based glue, then when cut out and all nicely sanded the paper can be removed with the application of a light water spray. Regards Bruce   must be better than the one near me ,never a had a plan come back right from them .  last time one wing was 1/2 inch bigger than the other one yet both same size on original   andy       Edited By lightning 759 on 04/06/2016 10:44:57
  3. For me it would be 63" Tempest V with Tempest II and Seafury, I like all three twin I would prefer the hornet but I would build a whirlwind would just not be my first choice andy
  4. Posted by bouncebounce crunch on 10/05/2016 14:09:33: Thanks for replies. I just feel that the hobby is drifting away from the club flyer,in all a competent bunch of modellers', and toward big end high cost models where a loss is a major financial cost above anything i (and many) can afford to maintain. Big models are awesome no question, but letting 20-60-90 size models lose shelf space is a tragedy. bbc   got to agree you only have to look at yt international to see the direction they gone in I haven't seen many round their stalls in recent years compared to when they stated, don't even bother myself now as I know its going to way above the contents of my wallet   ,seagull /black horse / hanger 9 seem to doing the same   andy   Edited By lightning 759 on 10/05/2016 18:18:47

  7. Posted by RICHARD WILLS on 29/04/2016 22:29:56: Take the Mustang , we get zero interest in the p51B . I mean literally one enquiry per year . Why? I flew the one in the pictures on our site for three years and another before it (a malcolm hood from the Len Deighton book cover "Goodbye Mickey Mouse " . Loved them both , faultless aeroplanes. That surprise's me guess it might have something to do with mostly d models left on the air show circuit, hope you still do it though as its on my wants list andy
  8. How about a Henschel 129 ? nice simple shape. traplet do one around 80inch span for foam wings andy

  10. Andy ,The 88 will show us how feasible a series of twins would be , The price for a proper kit will be £179 . great Will be saving the pennies andy
  11. You know there is a thread for the Ju88 . Its a great plane but at the moment only a handful of people have enquired about it . Does that inspire me to make another twin ? So in many ways the future kits for you proper builders is in your hands , hence the thread . As with all things , be careful what you wish for . I do value your comments so keep them coming. Richard been watching that thread with great interest I have the plan & parts for the traplet one but would far sooner go with yours , have you any ideas how much it will cost ???? andy

  14. Posted by Geoff Sleath on 02/03/2016 12:16:15: It will be very difficult to find a place for the traditional nationals that we all love that isn't an RAF airfield. First, it needs to be a big area that's reasonably flat and allows on site camping/caravaning. It would also be good to have some hard runways or there would have to a lot of time/money spent in grass runway preparation. Second it has to be far enough away from houses that noise isn't a real problem and ideally not at one extreme end of the country. I certainly wouldn't travel to one that involved my getting SE of London for example. Unfortunately a lot of disused airfields are now targets for so-called brownfield development (our own in Ashbourne and the former RR Hucknall for example) so they seem to be off the menu. So where? Unlike parts of the USA we don't have acres of open desert to play in. Geoff don't wish to offend or get involved in a slanging match but from wot I,ve read in a quick flick through this thread people only seem to mention airfields , now I do not know off hand the pros & cons but what about racecourse,s large areas inbetween the track itself would depend on entrances on & off I know ,or even somewere like Silverstone andy

Steve Edit: I must add that the other reason I do this is that I have difficulty walking any great distance and I find this much easier. Edited By Essjay on 20/02/2016 20:01:25     i.m lucky as I work at RIAT as a volunteer otherwise I think I would be doing the same , don't know if the fallout from Shoreham will close some of these off site field thinking mainly the one under the display axis on the hill   andy   Edited By lightning 759 on 21/02/2016 08:10:57
  16. Posted by RICHARD WILLS on 20/02/2016 16:49:26: As you are aware the Yak is really pre production model and maybe too close to the La7 for us to kit . Having said that , I absolutely love the way it flies in both electric and IC form . Richard Oh I think you should I have the la 7 to build would certainly entertain getting the yak andy
