  7. watching with great interest but alas I wont be putting my name down for one as much as id like too andy
  8. Hi short update ., building time is very limited at the moment so I had to put some paint on just to keep myself interested , I quickly came to conclusion im crap at doing German schemes so after two failed attempts & rubbing down I just made one up with what paint I got left basically primer & dark grey , so before I get shot down for non scale scheme that's my excuse . in real terms not really a awful lot to complete before fitting out . Andy
  9. Posted by Paul Johnson 4 on 07/08/2017 15:13:11: I do think the point to this pondering is highlighted in looking at the 110 thread, myself, DD and Graham are posting..... 40,000 views and not one mention of.... can I get one? Even if 5% of those views produced an order would come to 200 orders. No wonder Richard feels like giving up. personally I would like to purchase most of the kits Richard makes but even one purchase has to be justified as I don't have much hobby money these days andy
  10. Posted by Bucksboy on 25/06/2017 20:04:03: Andy, That looks really good, I've got one in the loft waiting to be built. What power system does it have? Is it brown paper covered? I hope mine comes out looking like that. Hi Brown paper & rattle cans . power system is the one Richard recommends , more than enough power which I was quite impressed by Andy
  11. hi after nearly a year of waiting my la7 (57inch version ) had a successful maiden flight today .needs a bit of fine tweaking & lost the radiator scoop in a cornfield but that's no big deal ,looking forwarded to some more flying with her now Andy

  14. Posted by RICHARD WILLS on 28/05/2017 16:41:48: The weight will probably creep up a bit with the scoops and paint but I think 5lb 10-12 oz is easy to do . Mind you , I dont think an extra 1/4 pound will make much difference to the flying ,its only about 5%. It does make you wonder where the heavy ones come from though ? too much glue , paint ,& paranoid over reinforcing areas , that's my excuse anyway andy
  15. Posted by RICHARD WILLS on 10/05/2017 20:31:34: I've every intention of making one Andy , and in fact have already made all of the moulds for a 102 " prototype . Whenever I mention it to people it falls on deaf ears , so it looks like it will be a one off so far . Richard P.M sent andy
  16. Posted by RICHARD WILLS on 10/05/2017 09:05:33: B17 anyone ??? I realise its probably a tongue in cheek statement to the kiss approach but yes please andy

  18. I know the prices aren't the cheapest, but speaking to Jim about the production he told me that the Lightning takes 21 hrs of machine time per kit not including the 3D printed parts (radome/intake assy, nose ring, elevator pivot/mount and rear hatch cover) or the preparation of the brass/carbon parts. As you say though Andy...Ouch! totally understand & appreciate this , andy
