  1. Hawker Fury Bipe as it is little modelled. I built the C/L one that was the Xmas free plan in Aero Modeller in the late fifties. Cheers Bob
  2. I fail to see the Flying connection or even a modelling connection with this Topic.
  3. My AcroWot has a Jen57 with Jen Pitts Silencer, this setup fits very nicely in the cowl and sounds a bit different. Because the engine is light I have 10 ounces of Lead screwed and glued to the bottom of the Firewall. I believe the C of G should be measured at the Wing Root which I take to be the Leading Edge. This setup gives great vertical performance.
  4. Old Fashioned Carbon Paper under the plan the wrong way up then trace over the plan to give a reverse image on the back of the plan works for me. I get Carbon Paper at Staples in the School section. Bob
  5. Correction I should have written JEN57 and JEN Pitts Silencer, Apologies to Just Engines. I think I had a SAGA moment! Cheers Bob
  6. My GEN57 with GEN Pitts Silencer fits nicely in the Cowl. As this is a light engine I needed 10oz of lead and 6volt battery under the tank to achieve recommended CofG. This setup gives me good vertical performance, as the engine becomes more Run-in the Idle is coming down and it is getting easier to land. I am using an APC 12x7 Prop. Regards Bob
  7. I decided to retire and now fly more and spend more, or so my wife tells me.

  9. Hi Paul,   Sorry the Dulux didn't work so well I shall probably go for the car paint option, I have used it before and its ok provided its well sealed with fuel proofer. incidentally which retract option are you using? I am a long way behind you, Iast did a scratch build from a plan about 45 Years ago, at the moment I have almost completed the Fuselage and I am contemplating ordering the Unitracts.   Cheers   Bob
  10. Hi Paul   Thanks for confirming that. As for the wing I might try steaming the main spar to introduce a bend. I would be interested to know how the Dulux works out.   Bob
  11. Hi everyone   I have just started my build, so far I have cut out the Fuselage Formers F1 to F5. I note that the plan and the Magazine state the left side of the Fuselage is shorter than the right, is this correct ? To give Right Side Thrust I think the opposite should apply.
