  1. I have a faint memory they used to make a smaller version too 60" ish but could be wrong, they used to have a display slot at Much Marcle and fly a pair of the larger ones with smoke, very impressive flat spins on full throttle, hardly lost any height, they weren't around for many years though I'm sure.
  2. That's the rules of those particular Facebook groups which are private if you're not a group member, the aim is to put prospective buyers a bit more at ease that the pictures are not grabbed from somewhere on the net.
  3. I don't know about your sums but from practical experience in my 5x4.5m cabin with 44mm thick solid walls 50mm celotex ceiling and underfloor its first winter last year was unbuildable! Internal temp on -7 mornings was around -4, after 2 hours of a radiant heater + oil radiator + 2kw fan heater I was still wearing my hoodie, coat, wooly hat and neck warmer, temp had only risen to +2 and smart meter had shown around £1.50 used so I bought a diesel heater kit, install it internally with the inlet and exhaust and tank/pump all externally mounted, result is excellent, last weekend it was around +4 inside one morning, within half hour the heater has raised that to 14, I'm very comfortable, the dog loves it, I can build all day and it really doesn't use a lot of fuel on low setting. The reality is though, whatever the cost compared to electric without the diesel heater I'd not be doing any modelling all winter which is not an option!
  4. A couple of Facebook motorcycle groups I'm in ask that if you're selling something you place a piece of paper with your name mobile and location in one of the pictures of the item to show that it is a new picture that you've taken and you do own the item for sale. If you don't do this the mods delete your posting. Seems to work ok.
  5. I had this very thing last week, reply to my wanted ad made by a member who'd joined the forum 5 mins before sending his message, said he knew someone who had what I was after and to email them on the email he supplied. No thanks, I'll pass

    Pica Waco

I'm looking for a Pica Waco kit, either size but preferably untouched if possible. Thanks
  7. Hi Martin, where about are you? I have a half built sea fury I'll not finish if you're interested.
  8. All this talk of Amelia's is making me think I should build another for the spare OS26fs I've got lying about!
  9. I don't remember an issue with CG but it was a long time ago now, its a light structure and was very adequately powered by the 25fx, I didn't install the forward tank hatch but made f2 open and got to the tank that way, maybe saved some nose weight there? Be mindful of adding weight here and there, it soon adds up, it is a vintage style sport model not an extra.
  10. Derek Woodwards Amelia is a lovely little sport model, I built one about 25 years ago and fitted an os25fx as I didn't have a small fourstroke available at the time, your 30fs will be just right at the design span of 47", built it light don't overengineer it, the model is plenty strong enough as it is except for the balsa spars which I substituted with spruce, I've always planned on building another as it was so nice to fly.
