  1. Depending on what you have screwed into. If metal i find the tip of a solder iron warms it sufficently to loosen the grubnut, screw/bolt.   Not tried it on plastic servo arms though???!!
  2. No I got it a day or two later . No delay there.
  3. No I used standard first class . I will upload the photo of the invoice when i get to my computer. Sending this from my phone.
  4. On the electronic receipt it was down as shipping then a separate charge of 72 p for packaging. The same 72 p appears as handling on the print recept which came with the product. 72p was also taxed at 14p. And 45p on the shipping. It is the terminology that grips me ... Handling I paid that with the product I ordered. As Eric said it did not just appear on my shelf . ( although I may tell the wife that!!!)
  5. Whats with the handling charge in some websites now??? I just bought £39 worth of stuff , paid p and p which can often be over priced at some stores, then got an additional handling charge. Surely this should be in the g.p. as in labour costs. I possibly won't be using this company again despite being a very good site.
  6. Buy a new pull start or as I did After a while get a drill start mechanism which work like our starter motors .What do you want to do with it???
  7. But surely by paying online you are reducing work load . The charge is usually to cover the "admin" which I envisage to be a lot less if done this way.
  8. I did it by phone and requested an email to show confirmation of payment. Likewise I have an event on Friday which requires proof of bmfa insurance. Julie in the office was very helpful but I do agree about the online payment and possibly then printing your card from a PDF ??? Some insurance polices in vehicles I have had have operated this way.
  9. That should have been further nut!!!!!!!!!
  10. Alan they are both 5/16 . The nut fits both. A further but operates the tx.
  11. The OS was quite old and second hand . The other tt was almost new but came with washer and nut which I believe to be original as the were colour coded . Thanks again guys
  12. Thanks again guys. Neither came with lock nuts , which is amazing since as a lot of you state the dangers of a back fire and prop chuck. Indeed one of the engines has back fired and thrown the prop. Good drills of having the plane pointing out the Pitts into the crop field and standing well behind one the engine starts. I have been the casualty of a prop in the past and it is not an experience I wish to repeat . Yes ?20 is not expensive compared to injury prevention , but an alternative item providing an equally good prevention at a lower price has got to be preferable.
  13. Thanks . Yes VA that's the type I had in mind. But at ?20 i don't think so. Alan I don't have any parts. Neither of my four strokes came with lock nuts of any type. One is an OS 120 another is tt 130. I found just engines sell a lock nut with spinner thread for Ali built into it for ?10 . Does anyonE use these type ? Are they worth using?
  14. No. 1 you get a prop reemer. If it is aplastic prop. no.2 a band secured at the back to stop it falling back or out
  15. Hi all,   I am after a lock nut for a couple of four strokes. The type I am after is one which has been discussed on here but under a different thread title. I search nut and it came up with my name????   The tyope is two part and the second part locks the first part by clamping the splice in the nut. ( if that makes sense)   The nuts i can find are Nylocks so far. I even tried prop nut but to no avail. anyone know of a supplier??   Gaz
  16. With these foamies I alweays fibre tape over the hinge line for added security. Hind sight is the best!! Thats why i I tape now!!   Gaz
  17. Ground run it and that will give you a ball park figure. Help with bedding in also .
  18. What you waiting for stephen. Xmas????? It was Blustery but hey you wait for the wind to drop, you never fly!!!! I gave you lot all week end before I made the call . Any one of you could have snapped it up before me. Just don't tell my wife!!!!!!
  19. The yak flies beautifully. A little extra nose weight required to be less sensitive but oh yeah she rocks. Engine now smooth and bedding in nicely. Thank you to Ross .
  20. Target hobby is selling cloned for mega cheap prices . I have bought from them in the past with out problems.
  21. I just built the stunt monkey but mine weighs 180g I do have a 500 mah lipo on it though . I also put the fillets on all edges , flush finish with the nose. The used one of the futaba circle servo plates as a motor mount( sanded the raised centre of. ) the fillets gave extra strength and adhesion area for the mount plate.
  22. Here's to all new fleet arrivals for 2012. May they bring peace to all couples !!!!!!!! Happy new model and a safe landing new year
  23. Hi there just wondering if anyone know how to repair a duuo trailer. It has a rubber type thing( technical) that is used for suspension . This with time , wear and heavy loads has broken . Is there a way to replace it. I want to use the trail to transport models as I an running out of space ESP with larger ones. My pick up truck restricts the size somewhat.
  24. I got the same engine. Found a good strip down and flushed the carb with wd40. Wipe and polish. Check the O ring that fits the carb to the main engine . Also check fuel tubes for either blockages where fuel Evaps and leaves oil residue. Again I flushed pipes with wd40 the jet clears most. Catching the oil in a bowl. The pipe may also have a small hole and need replacing. Finally check the plug is suitable
