  7. Hi. I to have a proxxon table saw the first one I bought the motor burned out very quickly I sent it back & they replaced it with a another new one which has been very good- 5 years now. I did get Makita 85m/m X 1/32 tungsten blade for it which proved to be brilliant at cutting most things including Alum& thin brass ,so I have no complaints with it. I did fix the fence{ extending it } so it would lock up for & aft to stop the fence moving .
  8. Well I finally finished my Typhoon & as you may expect I've had to build a lead mine into the front cowling ,it is now up to 8.5Lb total with batts & its still not right on the C of G- the cowling now alone weighs 1.5Lb . has anybody else had this problem -I'm now wondering whether it will get of the ground at all --- looking for further mining rights to a lead mine. I used several of these for screws -etc + they dont break when dropped from bench to floor .

  15. Hi Roy. I like your plunge windows ,I thought I was being clever when I do them on some of my models-its a bit fiddlerly when doing more complex shapes though.however they do look better than the stuck behind ones.
  16. Hi roy .snug as it may be ,there still is,nt much room left for even a bug,-or two.however the progress is loooking good.will we get the video of the maidan flight of it on the RCM&E you tube site.
  17. Hi Roy .it looks like everything is a bit of a tight fit round the nacells.not much room for anything except air.
  18. Hi Roy so you are nearly there with it ,-its looking very nice so far as I can see you retracts seem to operate very well . I looked at that video of the other modeler,s  DAK  where it tended to tip stall on take off I hope yours is ok .It looked a bit frightning -that take off & also seemed to fly very fast even on the 2- 500hds that powered it,-awell finished model though.John
  19. Hi Roy. I see you are progessing well with it ,I bought another on on ebay complete with mouldings all there & the plan was correct size. I have informed the plans service of the 5% error on the ones supplied to me ,but  I dont suppose they will do anything about  itjohn until someone else complaines it seems these days that its a take it or leave it attitude to the punters.
  20. Latest daft bit.just finished my T.N. Hurricane set it all up on the bench tested the power unit for right direction & servo ops. then tested the power outputs with -you amps &watts ect. then came the test for rpm well put tranny down on bench ajusted throttle to idle got tacho set for the 2 bladed prop low behold I dropped the thing onto the tranny throttle makeing a grab for it  inadvertantly banging the the said thing wide open whereupon the model shot off the bench& you can  imagine the rest .""!!***^^^**and son.John
  21. Roy. I like your U/C it looks like you made quite a good job there ,I am still pondering over mine as to wether to go with tonys design or try my own way to do it. however keep up the good progress on it. John
  22. roy. I have just had the plan the I got though the RCM&E enlarged by 5% & it is now the correct size .how were your balsa ribs the ones that came with my  pack are quite soft -dont know wether to use them or not .John
  23. Hi Roy. thanks for the reply .,I bought my plan & pack quite recently well within the last month or so. I phoned T.N. & he  informed me of the correct size,s for Johnthe dak  & he told me that the CNC pack was the right size .so that ment that the plan was wrong.-the bulkheads were way to big for the plan so to the ribs etc., I worked it out that the plan I have is 5% to small.  How are you getting on with yours .
  24. Roy. I see you have stared your dak,I to have one got the plan got the cnc pack & they dont match the plan is,nt big enough for the wood pack. I phoned tony N & was informed by him of the wingspan ect & my plan is too small by 3" or more however I have informed the plans service of this & they will get back to me on the correct plan size, & send me a new plan I hope.John Powles
