  1. I built the 50mm EDF Hunter, Hawk and TSR 2 and they all fly so true and straight! but the hunter nearly flies it self! They are also so easy build, its ridiculous. The Hunter has a Large wing area which may have something to do with it? I've flown numerous Foam EDF's for the last 10 years but when you fly a balsa made EDF you realise what you were missing out on. The speed and direct "feel" of balsa is incomparable to foam!
  2. I never thought of the special, thanks for going to the trouble of checking for me, I appreciate it.
  3. Hi I wonder can anyone recall what issue, an article about all the various kit manufacturers that were currently in business, featured in. I've gone back a couple of years, I don't the think it was any older than that. I'd appreciate anyone recollection as to the issue. Thanks all
  4. Andy did you put fibreglass cloth impregnated with PVA on the centre of the wing as suggested by TN? I don't see the advantage as the wing isn't joined down the middle, like the hunter or hawk.
  5. Did any of you happen to weigh your hawk. Mine came out at 740g which seems at bit high. My hunter is only 610g. I built the T.2 version which has a longer nose, so that wouldn't help. Just wondering.
  6. We'll done, she's a beauty. Looking forward to hearing how she flies.
  7. Robk, how do you gain access to the motor. Do you have a hatch on the bottom?
  8. Robk, Very Reno. I started the wing as I realized my motor was too big for this bird and I have to wait for the replacement to arrive before I finish the fuselage. I reckon there should be two of the W1 ribs on the plan and in the kit. Otherwise how do you join the two separate wing panels together to achieve the 20mm dihedral. Also the receiver in the fuselage for the wing pin is twice as wide as W1. It's such a poorly drawn plan, no plan view of the fuselage either. Are all plans generally like this?. I've only built from Tony nijhuis plans and I've never found any decrepencies on his plans.
  9. Will you need quite a large spinner carry on the graceful lines of the fuselage. Great idea on the rudder, should save a load of hassle later on. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the heads up, they are amazing quality pics and give me alot to work with. This is my third build and I have never built a ribbed wing so I'm grateful for the guidance. I have just finished the Tony nijhuis hunter and hawk and they were very easy builds compared to the Bambino.
  11. I finished the Tony nijhuis 50mm hawk as a T.2. which meant building a much longer sharper nose, missile rails and a sensor fairing on the fin. The missile rails are held on by magnets and the graphics are from calhi in America. Such a simple and easy project, it was a pleasure to build.
  12. Hi, I am starting this build with the sarik kit. I've also noticed many differences between the plan and the build article. Will you make a bigger cut in the wing seat to allow for the leading edge sheeting. Are you going to sheet top and bottom? Thanks
  13. I just got mine delivered (Ireland). My copy comes from Sweden apparently. Now I can start my Tony Nijhuis 50mm Hawk. I have the kit and plan ready for the build article. Happy Christmas.
  14. Are their any fellow Irish print subscribers out there. I haven't received the December issue as of today the 18th. I'm just wondering if anyone in Ireland have received the December issue yet?
  15. Your direction to that site wasn't helpful as its about hundreds of issues with the Hitec Eclipse pro 7 and I've already gone through these forums and they have nothing on a Flap to Elevator mix or a powered glider with throttle control on the throttle stick. Can you actually help with this specific problem.
  16. Hi Guys I bought a Hitec Pro 7 a while back, and for a while it worked great on my 4ch foamies like the PZ bf-109G, when I went to use it on my Flap equipped 6ch glow aircraft I found out to my dismay that their is no Flap to Elevator mix so that when I deploy flaps on finals on my heavier loaded aircraft like my CML FW-190 and BH stuka they balloon up and become very hard to manage a steady decent. I've tried using the free mixers but the free mixers don't allow channels 5,6 and 7 to be used. I've been on to Hitec support but their only suggestion is to enter the glider menu and use the Flap to elevator mix for gliders but this then turns the throttle into an on/off switch for spoilers and the throttle is then relegated to ch5 gear switch, useless if you want proportional throttle control on the throttle stick. I already found this out when I tried to programme my PZ Radian Pro 4 servo wing to include crow braking and 4 flap control as I lost throttle control to gear SW 5 and so now fly the radian as a powered aircraft in the Acro menu to maintain throttle control but without Crow or any of the other glider functions. Any help or suggestions please
