Hi / As a long term user of Spectrum 10 yrs I have use with perfect sucsess Orange and s thepectrum RX's with no bad effects.I now see that our Chineese cousins have brought out at least 1 RX, that is supposed to be compatable with both DMXanmd DM2.I will reserch these claims. Big Al

Thanks for your kind words (Flyboy) I was not trying to spike anyones guns,I have flown large models for years ,with mostly large 4/strokes.About 5 rs ago my mate and I went 'Lectric,,At the time we could only convert Up to 60 size models,but over the intervening years the cost and availeability of large outrunners and the cost of large batteries,have now got reasonable in cost etc, we are still learning but there is no limit now on the size of model,we can fly sucsefully.I have a Wat 4 Xl with a hacker and 2x 5 cell batteries, no vibration 13 mins of flight, no smell or dead sticks etc. The latest is an Accrowat XL,we have had some issues on getting the C/G correct,and we have tried 3 different motors,we have gone back to a Hacker V3, now waiting for the Maiden, If you like I will report, so long as you are interested. Hi/ I love bipes I have about 6 months ago finished an Astro hog bipe,it flies like a wats wat as well. Just about ready is an Accrowat XL as well ,But I musn't meention that must I,naughty.

Sorry if youread my letter I say it's a Wat 4 XL I made a new wing joiner with a slight Vee then cut a balsa centre rib sanded downto a wedge shapeall epoxyed together,it only 2 inches over a large wing not much. I have had 4 strokes for 50 years so Done that got the tee shirt etc.

I have been an aerobod since about 1943,started in rubber ooh,the diesels lovely smell, then glow 'specialy 4 strokes,now I am oooollldd I love 'Lectric the motors and batteries are getting cheaper and more powerfull,,it is almost trouble free flying,just stick in a new one and fly, the modern chargers can charge 4 at a time,No fuss No smell,yummy,youcan even put the sound of a "Merlin" in a model,whats not to likeIE I have changed my car from oil to petrol ,does that count ? ha ha Big Al

Hi All/ Been flying my XL today I have a Hacker 50 / and 2 x5 cell 4000 mh Nono tech batteriesafter 10 mins of whizzin around and areobatics I still had 80% left in them probably would fly for 20 mins thats 10 more than my old brain would allow. Remembering my first wat 4 of 40 yrs ago I put 2 inches of diaherdal and it is a peach, The others were haveing trouble landing safley in the strong wind Wattie landed very well 3 pointing all the time, I love 'Lectric.

I have uised 6i for5yrs with no probs,and the airframe I have had the trouble with has only two small servosso the esc was well within its capability.I even changed it for a more capable one no difarence. Big Al

Hi/ In the latest RCME, Simon Cocker,mentions the 7 not binding properly,and loseing the bind in the air, I have had this happen to me,and some times I have to rebind quite often,I am useing two new 7s trannies..He dosent however give any cure or reson for this, I have 2 6i's and in four yrs have not had any probs,with them, I fly electric only these days. From 3 cells to 10 cells. Regards Big Al newman

Hi I have been into water flying for years.The problem is always finding a sutible site.Over the years weve flon from Gravel pits, flooded fields, Big puddles,The best was at Kempton Park racecourse Lake.Flying from water improves your landings, as you have to land and takeoff into wind.Regardless of where you stand Happy landings Big Al
