  1. I have the orgiginal one for sale if your looking for one. Was featured on the front page of the mags, Flown by Mudders and Ian Redshaw
  2. Home on Monday Jez, so I will see what I can do mate
  3. I see I am going to have to get the original Silver one out when you have finished this Jez for a bit of a fly together. Looking great mate. My one is showing its age in the finish now but is still a stunning model. Si
  4. I find with my 1/3rd scale pup that I lead with the rudder on turns. Also I have about a 25% movement on the downward Aileron to 100% on the upward aileron. This seams to work very well. I would have thought the rudder is essential in the model you are building.
  5. I would buy Castle Creations along with the PC interface lead. Not cheap but they will work properly and can be set up on your PC properly as well. They have always worked perfectly for me
  6. My panic with a 72 in it is mounted the same way you have done yours. No nuts. I threaded the ply , removed the bobbins and applied cyno to the threads and then screwed the bobbins back in. Motor has been on there a couple of years with no problems. I agree it is not good engineering practice but it works fine.
  7. If you are using Mylar hinges then it is just as easy to cut them after the covering is finished. As they don't need such a big slot as conventional hinges you may struggle to find the slots again. I usually cut the slots with a hacksaw blade sharpened on the end.Edited By Always broke on 09/01/2010 11:47:41 Edited By Always broke on 09/01/2010 11:48:03
  8. There is no problem doing it two halfs I have done similar things with the dowel and it works well.Local DIY stores are a great place to get long spars. Look in the rack with all the mouldings in.Cheap and fairly light.Great model to have fun with. good luck and look forward to the rest of the build.
  9. If you are looking to save weight then build the wing in one piece. It will be a lot lighter . use full length 1/4" spars. Much easier to build , much more accurate and much lighter.
  10. We store a lot of boats over the winter where I work. On a 40ft boat we usually put one of those greenhouse tube heaters in it  (about 50w) and a small B&Q type dehumidifier and that keeps it damp free all winter. The Heater is on a time switch ,about 6 hrs a day I think. We have been doing this for years and it works really well. Un left boats get in a foul state very quickly.   Simon
