Ross Clarkson
Hi, I don't really want to just order this single item from online and i haven't got a LMS near to me. Does anybody know if i can get anything similar from maybe a DIY Shop etc... that would work?
John Privett
I once used some draught excluder tape from B&Q or Homebase. It did the job for a while, though I don't think it lasted a particularly long time.
Guest
I have used draught excluder as well with some success. another method is to lay a bead of bathroom silicone sealant ( colour to suit incl clear ) and bed the wing down with a sheet of thin polythene between the wing wnd the bead. make sure beds down level and wipe of surplus which squeezes out with a wet finger john
Allan Jordan
Hi Ross, John L has got the best idea for wing seating, Gerard Feeney wrote an article on the subject some time ago in RCME and it really does work a treat !! Another example of B&Q modelling perhaps ??

Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Ross, another alternative which I've used sucessfully is Isopon car body filler. Same method as John L - put in on the wing seating, and sandwich a sheet of polythene between the wing and the seat. Make sure you fasten the wing down fully, just as you want it be. Wipe off the excess with a modelling knife. When its dry just sand down the sides a little. Bit of a weight penalty, but very tough.
