Steve Hargreaves - Moderator Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 Sellotape "Diamond" tape is (alledgedly) UV resistant so doesn't degrade with time & exposure to sunlight. That said my models don't last long enough to benefit from that particular feature.... 3M Blenderm tape is excellent for foam (EPS & Depron) as it sticks to almost anything. I know other people use covering matierial to good effect, and I have heard of others using Silicon sealer! Should work if it's thin enough, never tried it myself. Martin Harris - Moderator Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 Bruce - I heard about this method recently and have tried it on an EPP 3D model - it's worked brilliantly so far. The only difference is that I applied a thin bead to both edges, let them dry and then brought the 2 surfaces together (very carefully) for an instant bond.
