Gary Murphy 1
Sorry, this will hopefully be my last post on the WOT4 build. The manual does not show placement of the rx pack. I have no idea what kinda weight is needed and i presume it goes right behind the tank. My LHS`s have split views on what to do. One says get the biggest pack possible and the other completly opposite. So i have 2 options, light way is 6v NiMh, 2100 mah. 70ish grms. Heavier option, 2 cell 7.4v LiPo,3000 mah, 165 grms + regulator. The LiPo option looks good because the charge will last for ages BUT i am not sure if the weight is too much. Onwe shop said you need weight at the front,i am using a SC46 and the 11 slec tank

Bob Moore
I used a 1300 mA NiMh and as you say it goes over the u/c screws, just behind the tank. I just read on another thread that someone had probs (interference) with a range check when they used LiPo and regulator? I only fitted an OS 40 and had to add some lead at the front end, as said with a 46 you may not need too? Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
A 2000mAh NiMh pack will be fine - keep it simple! As regard the charge lasting for ages - well you'd have to have a lot of flights in one day to exhaust a 2000mAh pack - more than I would do! Remember you should always recharge the flight pack before every outing - even if you only had a couple of flights the time before. Its asking for trouble to go to the field with part charged gear. Myron Beaumont
Just as a matter of interest , I just dug out an "Instant" Rx battery that I charged 24 th of september last year that I have never used since I first charged it up then . It was 5.70 V then & now it is down to 5.1V . Not bad Eh ?
