Phill Mainwaring
Thanks again Mike my lipo sits under the wing where a former is so if I move it forward and rubber mount the motor that should do it I don't think it would have flown with the amount of lead I had in it and it would have wrecked a nice plane Phill. Mike Smith
Hope you can balance it without any lead... do let us know how it goes. Mike
Stevo
Here was mine.. a little under powered (I rated the motor a wee bit small) but nevertheless aerobatic. And yes, a small church roof was installed to get the CoG correct even with a 2200MaH battery! I have to admit that the instructions were poor. I threw them away and built it from instinct! Mike Smith
Nice colour scheme Stevo... I tried to emulate the Caterham 7 with mine (racing green and yellow) but it lacks something... I think a little detailing is needed, but not sure what. I understand the instructions are being revised at present.
Chris Jones 7
Loving the Panics, currently mine has a 250mw VTX on it and can be seen doing FPV aerobatics over Melton Mowbray airfield! (Flat spins are violent enough to make me dizzy and sick!) Good luck with the maidens. Oh and I set the CG at the recommended point initially but it's not very sensitive to it and climbing flat spins can only be done with a very rearward CG. Still flies ok so it's not something to overly worry about. Chris

Mike Smith
Took my Mini Panic out on my first fully solo flight yesterday and tested my new Mobius camera on it. I'm reasonably pleased with the initial results:
Mike Smith
More antics with the Mobius camera attached to my Mini Panic yesterday. I have to admit to not being the pilot on this one!
Mark Taylor 6
Don't think my Mini Panic is under powerd.............LOL She has an SC 32 up front turning a 9 x 4 prop for unlimited vertical climbs and she takes of with three feet!! Balances nice to.

malcolm woodcock 1
Hi, Don't know if anyone can help me on this. I bought a Mini Panic about ten years ago and I'm only just getting around to building it due to family circumstances. The kit I've got came without the foam spacer for the wing ribs build. I was wondering if anybody had a old/spare one. Tried contacting Avicraft but got no response so far
Broken Prop
I have measured the rib spacing on my old Mini Panic and generally they are at 80mm centres. You could make up a spacer to suit. Not sure about the centre section of the wings as that is sheeted and I cannot see the ribs. Also between ribs 4 and 5 in the lower wing (taking the tip rib as No1) there is a supplementary rib spaced at 25mm from rib 5 to provide support for the aileron servo. Hope this helps. pete
Broken Prop
Malcolm Your post is tacked onto the end of a build blog by Craig Spence in 2010. Lots of pictures including ones of the wing rib spacer. Go back to the start of the thead for lots of useful information. Pete
