Wingman Posted December 3, 2010 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Keep wearing holes in expensive covering iron socks so had a look at Tesco's baby socks. Was looking for pure cotton socks but the best I could find are "Baby 5 pack socks" white 77% cotton 22% nylon 1% elastane 5 pairs for £2.75. Size 0-2_1/2 fits my iron with a nice stretch. Found that up to 350F they are perfect with no sign of nylon or elastane causing problems and even at 400F apart from beginning to scorch there was still no problem with the nylon/elastane.
