I glued some quarter inch marine ply together to see if I could break the join and all it did was separate the ply laminates, I also glued a metal key too, the epoxy would not budge from that too and that was after 10 mins setting!!! If it is, i bought some from ebay then saw it in the pound shop but i would not use it again as i took a personal dislike to the very strong niff! was hearing disembodied voices i tell ya!! Terence Lynock Posted June 14, 2011 Share Posted June 14, 2011 I had a rather strange experience with Edwards Epoxy, I applied the stuff and it generated so much heat I couldnt touch it, it then foamed up and turned a light grey colour before setting but when epoxy starts to smoke as it sets you know something is wrong.........
