Pound Land Edwards Epoxy

Got some today, 2 tubes for one English pound to do some tests...
I glued some quarter inch marine ply together to see if I could break the join and all it did was separate the ply laminates, I also glued a metal key too, the epoxy would not budge from that too and that was after 10 mins setting!!!

I won`t be spending a fiver a go for model shop epoxy again.

Hello R6dan. Obviously better than our £1 shop epoxy . They sell the never setting variety . Loads of time to get everything in the correct position ! then wait ...eventually it goes rubbery .
Luckily I tried / tested it first.

Is that the one that is in 2 seperate tubes? one orange i think?

If it is, i bought some from ebay then saw it in the pound shop but i would not use it again as i took a personal dislike to the very strong niff! was hearing disembodied voices i tell ya!!

I then saw some for a pound in the twin injection tubes, worked great and didnt smell like a columbian drug dealers armpit!

I had a rather strange experience with Edwards Epoxy, I applied the stuff and it generated so much heat I couldnt touch it, it then foamed up and turned a light grey colour before setting but when epoxy starts to smoke as it sets you know something is wrong.........
Not sure if it was a reaction with lead as I was bonding some church roof into the nose of a glider at the time...

I used some a while back, and it set with a grey colour, but the worst thing was the smell!! made me ever so squiffy!

Do you think you should be broadcasting your rather intimate familiarity with these Colombians?
