If you are mixing smallish quantities, be careful not to use too much hardener though - this tends to make the filler go off quicker and it is more brittle when it sets. Engine Doctor Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Hello Phil . If you haven't done the job yet try some Ronseal "Woodfill" .Its like car body filler but lighter and sands so easy . r6dan Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 It will but it is a very expensive way of doing it plus micro balloons and Araldite will be much harder than the cowl , also chances are that the cowl is made from polyester and epoxy doesnt stick to it very well unless it is prepped very well, just use some cheep car body filler. Phil 9 Posted May 6, 2011 Author Share Posted May 6, 2011 the cowl is fiberglass I already have the micro ballons and thought it would save me buying something else. but it does nned to be sanded and I dont want it flaking off either.
