Gary Murphy 1
Looking to go the "budget" cell route. I know loong max and tipple from GC get good reviews but HK was also pointed out. Just looked at their site and have no idea what brand to aim at.Looking for 6s 2500-3000mah.Can anyone recommend a brand?
Dusty
Hi Gary, Personally I have had/still do great results from Turnigy and Rhino Lipos, not much of the Flightmax ones though! CheersEdited By Dusty on 10/08/2011 19:38:
Tom Wright 2
What max current do you anticipate drawing Garry ?
Tim Mackey
I like their nano tech turnigy batteries.

Tom Wright 2
If high current draw and quick charging is required as Tim said Nano Tech ,i have loads very good Also Robs have good specs and very reasonable with fast delivery but the final cost against spec decision depends on the application. Gary Murphy 1
Not sure of current draw,to be used in 500 heli ,60a esc came with kit. I do not intend to charge at more than 2c,my power supply will limit.
Tim Mackey
I think personally, I would go with these 4A 20CTipple 5C charge packs from Giant Cod. HobbyKing stock levels are not good at the moment - mind you neither are GCs However, unless you have a fairly large order, the shippinng time and costs from HK are a bit of a pain, and GC almost always deliver quickly. The Packs I showed, although only 20C are good to 80A and if your ESC is only 60A, I expect the likely current draw will be maybe 40 - 50 absolute tops. They also show as being in stock right now too Edited By Tim Mackey - Administrator on 11/08/2011 10:05:
Devon Flyer
THESE are supposed to be the next big thing in budget batteries.
