Bruce Richards
Yes good torque fast and with a ball bearing on the output shaft all for £3-4 depending on shipping costs. It would be rude not to try them
Graham Brown
Me to I like the price and the Quality sounds to be good value for money
Steven Houston
Shawn, nice job,so much so i went and bought me a kit from leedsmodelshop, wow i cant believe the quality for 99.99 amazing kit, but what i wanted to ask was where did you get the stand you used to hold the fus in your pictures? did you make it or is it off the shelf somewhere?cheers
winchweight
IIRC it's a Protech field stand, but there's loads of alternative versions. Good luck with the build, it's easy and with a little imagination you can make a very nice scale model. If there's any advice you need, give me a shout. Steven Houston
Thanks, will do, i watched your build all the way and i got the decals from pyramid as well, i just cant decide on the colour? i like yours but i seen an original that was more of a blue colour...hmmmmm decisions decisions, ah OK i'll just use your build as a manual!!Off to look at field stands as i'm tight on space so anything that makes things sit nice will help. winchweight
Mine is very slightly wrong. The blue is dark sea grey and it should be extra dark sea grey. The correct colour is available from Warbirds (www.fighteraces.co.uk)
Steven Houston
Handy site to know thanks, just had a quick glance but i'll look a bit more thoroughly later. On the sea fury do you think a 26cc would be far too much?
winchweight
Have a read of this. http://www.rcmf.co.uk/4um/index.php/topic,43934.0.htmlThen search that forum for Sea Fury as there are a load of highly detailed build threads (inc mine). Another by a guy called Charlie, was a major modification programme, that went way beyond mine. Sadly his retracts are now in mine as the model had a rather unsatisfactory end.Mine has an ASP 1.08 2 stroke in it and it's plenty of scale power. I'm not sure aout a 26cc petrol engine, but it seems a lot of modification would be needed.

winchweight
Weston is a great show that happens every year at Weston Park, Staffordshire on Father's Day.http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pxIAHncVIR8There's Wings and Wheels today and tomorrow, but the next biggy for me is the LMA show at RAF Cosford in 3 weeks time. There's also the Nats & Top Gun amongst others.
Danny Fenton
Hi Steven, If you are interested in turning your Fury to the "dark side" I have converted the Seagull Fury to electric, goes well. I have used a fairly small motor only giving a thousand watts and shows that the model is light and doesn't need much power to fly it. Steven Houston
Cheers Danny i'll check it out, I havn't got an engine for it yet all i have is an Irvine53 which is no good so maybe i will, i looked at some of it already its the blog about the parts from HK right?Steve
Danny Fenton
Thats the one. The model ended up at under 8 lbs, Brian Taylor would fly a model of that size and weight on a good sixty 2 stroke.
Danny Fenton
Hi Shaun, just looking at my makeover on the electric seagull what did you do about the black sections on the wings and the the blue and red insignia on the fin? did you remove them, or paint over them? When I looked at the black sections from inside the wing during the build, i noticed that the manufacturer had pricked lots of holes in the underlying film where the black is, i guess to stop bubbles, if i remove the black the film the underneath will be like a porcupine I guess you left it stuck on and painted over the top. Did the light paint cover okay??PS really sorry to hear about you E Flight Fury, hope its flying again soonCheers
winchweight
Hi Danny. The insignia on the fin just peeled off, so I removed it. But as you've seen the surface below the black panels precludes this so I left it there, scoured it and then painted over it.
Danny Fenton
Thanks Shaun...... I am running out of excuses eh?
Danny Fenton
well work has been a bit busy so not much time for Fury but I have managed to flat all the film down with a green scotchbrite pad (6 3"x2" actually) it does look much better matt. I have sorted the retracts and they are working really well. I have removed the canopy and the cockpit floor. I have given Ned Flanders the rest of the year off and will find a more suitably dressed pilot.I have re-used all the offcuts of grey solarfilm and have filled the gaps where panels were joined, wing sections, tailplane, and fin assumbly to fus. This might be a nifty trick to do even if you weren't re-painting. Just take a little care to trim wheel wells and servo cut-outs so that the film can be re-used.I have attached some pics so you can see what I mean.Might not get much more done as it is one of our clubs 3 annual fun flys this weekend, this one the YT sponsored bash at Greenacres MAC. If you are not busy and fancy a trip out?? Greenacres

winchweight
This is the fella. I didn't have to cut him down any, and built a seat out of scrap depron.Drop Pete an email, tell him what you need and if he doesn't have one already, he'll draw one for you. This bloke is 1/7th too IIRC
