HD Key Fob camera issues

Recommended Posts

Can anyone shine a light on a problem I have with this camera.
It is one of the 1280x720,30fps key fob cameras,
when I plug into my PC it says it does not recognise the file type, when plugged into my laptop it plays the file but it is very jerky both in picture and sound.
Any ideas on this one please.

Thats a good piunt Pete.... must check the class of mine.
It was supplied with the cam, and seem to think its class 4.

Of course, the jerkiness may just be down to the PC simply being unable to process the data...I know my old machine struggles - CPU is working at 95+ % when watching 720 HD

Thanks all,

I've uploaded VLC and it is playing.
My card is a class 4, so I will look into a 6.
I'll try to piece a few bits together later to get some opinion on quality

VLC is a much smoother runner than windows media player as it is not heavy on resouces. also if you download and install mp4cam2avi software it will repackage the mov file as an avi with no quality loss. it will then play in almost any player. i'm using a kingston 8gb sdhc class 4 no problems. some cards are not compatible with this camera see the website link below for lots of info from developers and users. its very important to install the latest camera firmware which fixes known bugs. all info is on the site.smiley
