linking problems

Five examples of 'linking'.  The last example is a 'Copy & Paste' affair.

1) Below is a hyper link to a pic in another thread.

Picture

2) And below is a picture resulting from an inserted Url link when you click on the 'insert image' Icon at the top of the posting window.  This produces a pic from another thread.

3) Below is a link for the thread that contains the pic

4)Failing all the above you can copy a pic from a thread to a photo album of your own making, and post from there.

5) Copy&Paste - Below.

I find it a lot easier if I open a second tab in my browser for this site.  Then in the thread I am 'linking' into I copy the necessary 'link' from the thread I want to copy from, from the 'other' tab I've created.

Quite a versatile platform this is really.

Thought you'd gone walkabout David after I saw Timbo on early duty a few minutes ago. Either that, or, he ain't been bedeebys yet !

Your quite right. The 'Copy&Paste', can in some browsers destroy the window pane, resulting in a distortion to the page. a bit like linking from 'Word' incorrectly. I normally do as you say. Nick the photo & repost.

Still after a 13 hr shift lastnight Im happy me brains still functioning enough to find 5 examples....Still 3 nights off now to recover

FB I think both methods have already been mentioned but:

1. Save the photo on your PC then use it as you would any other photo.

2. A more elegant solution is to open the photo in the existing thread, copy the photo's own URL then paste this URL into the er.... URL box. Like this:

which in this case results in this:
