David Ashby - Moderator
Yes I've heard of them Scott, they advertise in RCM&E. Belgian company with UK distribution. They seem to be making an effort to increase their UK market share at the moment. We've reviewed the odd model from time to time but I can't speak for the Extra. Scott La Vallee
Ok Thanks for that might have to do a bit more searching about the extra but what I have heard so far it sounds quite good, just have to run it through motocalc see what it says. Ultymate
Al's hobbies used to deal Protech a couple of years back I've just been to the website and they still deal with Protech but are not listing the Extra at the moment, might be worth an email or phone call

Graham King
I had a Protech nicad / nimh charger once. It failed after only a few months and Protech were less than helpful. I dont remember all the circumstances now, but I won't touch anything made by them these days. I like companies that give decent customer support. David Ashby - Moderator
We've now got some Pro-tech models in the review production pipeline - the ones you may have recently seen advertised, they should be in the mag' in a couple of months. Dave T.
I have a Protech Staudacher GS600 at about 1/4 scale I aquired at a show a couple of years ago. It is a very well produced ARTF and flies superbly, I have no hesitation in buying their goods. In fact I recently special ordered a geared starter by Protech via our local modelshop as I had seen one in operation and it has no problems in firing up a Moki 210, Mackay 45cc petrol or my ST 3250, but it won't quite manage a Mackay 75cc without a helping hand.
