More towing:

For gliders without towcoupling, we just a piece of velcro, around 1"

1" for 2 meter and 1/2 " for smaler gliders

To realese the towplane just make a half rool and dive vertical.

Works great thumbs up

How does the motor feel after flights? Following the link it says it is good for 45 ~ 54 Amps and yet you are drawing more.

Does motor rating not matter as much as the esc rating?

The motor is almost cold when coming down from a tow flight.

I have run this motor in my ME 163 on 6 cell and 9x9 prop, at almost 100 Amp, in short bursts.

So I think it can take it, when towing big gliders it run for full thottle all the time.

The ESC must be a good bit over the motor draw.

I think the motor will last longer if not drawing more amp than the raiting, but if it burn then I will get one more.

This is the 3. motor in this plane, other ones were smaler and was getting very warm, but this one seem to be very good for this type of flying.

Now we got 5 planes with this set up in my club.

3x Funcub and 2x Mentor, and they tow gliders up to 7 kg.

Never smoked any motors yet, and they go full thottle when towing the big gliders.

smiley

Just get it..
